Capturing intense moment-to-moment racing action, GRID returns with an all-new experience where every race is the chance to choose your own path, create your own story and define your legacy in the motorsport world.

From the creators of the hugely successful DiRT and F1 series, Codemasters invites you to take your place in the GRID World Series and compete in intense wheel-to-wheel racing with the most iconic and desirable race cars -- current and classic, from GT through Touring and Muscle to Stock and Super Modifieds -- and in some of the world's most famous city streets, ovals and circuits.

GRID captures every moment of the race, from the adrenaline rush of lights-out to the elation at the chequered flag -- and in-between, it's all action too. Incidents come one right after the other -- tight overtakes, bumper-to bumper scrapes and competitive collisions -- all heightened by rivalries, team-mates and a nemesis driver who will all either try to help or hinder your progress as you achieve your goal of becoming the GRID World Series champion.

A fitting return to form for the GRiD franchise, especially given the five year gap since Autosport. Doesn’t take itself too seriously, so it’s a title anyone can pick up and play. Would be just as at home in an arcade cabinet as it is in the console under your TV or on your PC.

After five years inside the garage, GRID comes back to the track with a great reboot. It is not as fast as DiRT or F1 reboots, but it offers spectacular races on a few circuits, specially the urban ones.

Once the feel of the grind of the Career Mode begins, the initial appeal starts to wear off even though the varying race experiences try to hide it. The multiplayer experience is seemingly just an afterthought with something that could have had so much potential. But with beautiful visuals and impressive gameplay, fans of the original GRID will find that this modern version will suit them on the track.

GRID focuses on the basics, and that is barebones racing. Don’t expect anything beyond that to keep you motivated.

Grid is a great looking game and features some excellent driving and physics. It's let down by a questionable damage system and boring design. From the games dull menus to no-frills racing, there's just not enough here to separate it from the pack.

Some of the finest simulated driving you can find on PC and console, but with a single-player career mode that’s not as fully fleshed out as you’d expect for the money.

Grid is a visual spectacle, but offers a matt racing experience. You may be even better off with the recent Switch release of five-year-old Grid Motorsport.

Perhaps these dudes missed the point of this game. It is not meant for hyper-realism, nor is it NFS type kiddy racing game. While you certainly need to have a good understanding of driving dynamics, punishment for a small mistake will not be race-ending harsh. The point is to have fun. And the game certainly delivers that, which is most important. Expand

Very interesting physics for the arcade. All cars are different. A lot of tracks, which is good. AI is quite good.

Runs at 1440p/60 fps on the PS4 Pro, and 1080p/30fps on the PS4, so it's not as smooth or pretty on the base console. I wish it had the ability to upgrade your car's working parts instead of a million livery options, but it's good for a casual 'jump in and play' type of racer. You can set lots of different options, including the option for cosmetic damage only, or performance-impacting damage. Wish it had more cars (check out Driveclub as well for something similar with a lot more cars to unlock.) Well worth the $20 I paid for it. Expand

They really want to follow success of the first GRID but they failed again. GRID 2019 is as poor as GRID autosport. Driving model and graphics are kind of ok for me, but everything else is very weak for 2019. This is simply unfinished product, which becomes to be boring after several rides. All in all, it is something like poor GRID Autosport v2.0. Expand

No touge, drift or demolition derby events. No starting from the bottom and only being able to be hired by other teams. Limited sprint and open wheel races. Even the damage system is crap. There's no damage at all that impacts your driving ability unless you hit a wall head on, then it's game over.
The only good thing are the slightly better graphics compared to the original Race Driver: GRID. But that was to be expected after 11 years...

overall a pretty big disappointment. Driving feel is still amazing as it should be.......but the AI is horribly dumb. Very small trackoverall a pretty big disappointment. Driving feel is still amazing as it should be.......but the AI is horribly dumb. Very small track variety, online is barebones (like something out of a ps2 title), graphics are outdated, career mode is bland and boring. Feels like little to no effort was made in this game. Most of the games assets are just copy and pasted from other titles. Not to mention its chock full of greedy macro-transactions with plenty more to come. Ill still play from time to time because the racing feel is so good, but its gonna get old quick. Somehow we've come to a time when NFS is better then Grid....what a sad reality. Expand
