Though the 12 maps will become very well-known after spending hours in the game and repetition overall will start to creep in with players, some much sooner than others. It’s a small issue though in my eyes as the core gameplay here feels and looks great and it’s a game that can be enjoyed online with friends and the online community. The harder the difficulty and more waves adding, the crazier it gets. Players looking for a great arcade online shooting experience really need to look no further. Killing Floor 2 is here to please.

Fans of horde modes in their shooters will find plenty of reasons to keep coming back to Killing Floor 2, although the experience is substantially better with a group of like-minded friends.

While Killing Floor 2 doesn’t offer a lot of content, especially compared to many other multiplayer shooters out this year, at the end of the day, it’s still fun to shoot some Zeds with your friends. If you’re really looking for some quick, challenging multiplayer action, Killing Floor 2’s a pretty good place to start.

Killing Floor 2 is a very good choice if you, and your friends, are a maniac with a weird lust to kill hordes of horrible monsters. Cooperative mod is challenging but not too varied while the competitive mod is funny but unbalanced. Know this and have fun.

Old school shooters can still deliver, even if it's all only fun in small doses. Nice upgrade system, but lacks game modes.

Tripwire Interactive brings the FPS back to its most primal level, creating a ludicrous arcade-style bloodbath in an era of deeper, more thoughtful narrative-driven shooters. That approach ultimately proves to be refreshing; while more variety would have pushed the game over the top into "truly great" territory, what Killing Floor 2 does offer is undeniably visceral entertainment. And while the wave-based action is plenty of fun on its own, the perks system kept me coming back to upgrade my character and face even deadlier threats.

Taking a shallow sub-mode from other games, and presenting it in a no-frills manner, might make for a competent and reliable shooter, But Killing Floor 2 also fails to be anything more than a diversion from other, better shooters as a result. It's utterly useless in singleplayer, and for multiplayer hijinks there are more creative examples out there.

I picked it up on a whim since I like co-op shooters. I thought it would be decent - what I wasn't expecting was greatness. This game is just about flawless. 60 FPS even when there is chaos on screen, great variety of weapons to choose from, good number of maps, awesome gore, a variety of enemies to kill, you can play as the monsters and the periodic slow-mo shots are pretty cool. This game is like a spiritual successor to Left for Dead 2. This is the game Evolve should have been. I will be playing this game for a long time. If you like Horde mode type games, pick this up immediately. Expand

But seriously, this is a fantastic game and the developers really make an effort of doing regular events and adding stuff to the game. Since I started playing (around July 17), two bosses have been added, 8 new maps, a few new weapons and modes.
And the gameplay itself is very satisfying and can be tweaked to your liking and level with the difficulty and length filters.
So I can highly recommend this game to everyone who likes FPS, a bit of gore and great gameplay:)

For a 30 dollar game, with no story, free updates and very well made motion capture of the guns. Besides zombies the games large focus its the guns. The unreal engine used here is awesome and addicting. Its what makes players wanting to play. Feels just very nice and satisfying. The game mixes elements between Fear and Left 4 dead. it gets fear right from the slow motion mechanic and even some maps. It feels like a improved left 4 dead to the point i dont think i can go back to play that game because switching back to outdated mechanics itll just make me want to play this instead. In l4d you dont feel the power of the weapons. In kf2 not only can you see but the kickback on the guns feels like you are doing a lot of real damage on zeds. As of now there are 21 maps and 15 characters. More updates and events are added to make the game a little long lasting. You do burnout if you play for too long. The music is amazing and always gets me and my girlfriend excited to play. There are a variety of zombies in different ways of handling them. You cant simply expect one type of gun to do damage. The game puts players to experiment what guns will they stick with and use. I became a survivalist because it is round balanced and had sticked to the mac 10, m4 shotgun and the m16 assult rifle/gernade launcher. So the gameplay is almost flawless for a zombie experience alone only. People are more bugged about the game not having some single player story. You basically make it your own. With so much happening in the game with 100 zombies and a lot of blood that doesnt disappear throughout the entire game and developers adding a cool gore system the fps stays at 60 regardless. If you shoot a zombie in the head a piece of it comes off weakining it but still walks until more pieces of it come off and it dies. Its fun shooting stalkers in the face and watching that groovy motion capture of a headless stalker trying to get at you which looks pretty realstic in the way she moves around headless. Since the game was developed by such a small team (less than 10) we need to give it the credit it deserves. This cant compare to the zombies of cod its more fast pace/gorey/intense. The only downside is playing it too much. You may want to stop once in a while before the game just becomes the same and the same like any other game. But because it us addicting it is one of those games you may sit and play for hours. Solo is fun and co op is fun too. Endless is my favorite. Made ut to 26 waves on my own. Uts simply a fun brainless shooter. Something we all need in our library at least one game. Kf2 is one of the few rare picks. If you liked cod for its zombies you should abandon that and get on something that is more challenging like this.

Pros: Cool unreal engine, blood splatter that doesnt disappear, motion capture of guns and some enemies, free updates, frame never drops even when a lot is happening, very reminiscent to Fear and Left 4 dead, 30 dollar release, tons of weapons

Cons: Playing a little too much will cause you to grow out of it in a matter of weeks.

Never played the first Killing Floor, but i never say no to a good tactical coop experience.

To be honest, i bought this game to ease my wait for Left 4 Dead 3. Unfortunatly, in many key aspects, KF2 is the opposite to that game. While good (certainly fantastic to everyone who know exactly what to expect), it lack L4D tention, atmosphere, slow paced exploration moments, and most important, its tactical yet simple gameplay. All in all, in particular when it comes to pacing, i would compare it to CoD zombie modes, which i'm not a fan of.

Like i said, Killing Floor 2 is still a good game. The controls are responsive, the visuals great, the framerate is surprisingly stable (at least on PS4 Pro) and the amount of enemies and gore on screen provide many epic moments. If it had more maps, modes and the the ability to play singleplayer with bots, i would give KF2 a higher score.

    It's good, but not great.

ThereKilling Floor 2 plays great and does 2 things right, the shooting and the killing. It plays a little like Left 4 Dead meets Overwatch. There are several classes to choose from and a multitude of characters to play with. All with their own one liners and personalities. But once you've finished about ten matches, the charm runs out. Unless mindlessly shooting and wiping out zombies and other creatures for hours is your thing. Expand
