Kingdom Come: Deliverance delivers on its ambitious promise for a realistic, grounded open-world medieval role-playing game, with engaging and complex gameplay systems, weighty and tactical combat and an interesting main story slightly let down by a lack of polish and technical issues on launch.

Kingdom Come's rough edges are smoothed by the knowledge you're playing a game where no detail is too small. Exploring 1400s Bohemia is a sure-fire delight.

A veraciously detailed RPG that sometimes forsakes fun in the name of 'realism.' [Apr 2018, p.83]

Warhorse Studio has achieved the most realistic and respectful with the History medieval RPG. Kingdom Come Deliverance introduces plenty of good ideas in the genre. But they are not quite well-implemented in this gigantic ambitious map. The game needs updates for optimization improvement.

Kingdom Come is one of the most ambitious RPGs in a long while, with lots of things to do and choices to make. Some technical issues aside – if you are into Skyrim and The Witcher 3 - it is worth a closer look.

If you absolutely love simulators and really appreciate realism and the little details in games, then this will really grip you. But at the same time, many will find the game far too frustrating and unforgiving, both because of the intense focus on realism that doesn't always result in fun gameplay experiences, and the number of bugs and severe loading times. There's a compelling game here, but it needs a polished edge only a series of patches or a sequel can deliver. We can't wait for either.

A gaming experience will never feel real, much less truly playable, when it's plagued with as many bugs as this game is—not least of which is its failure to at times recognize your button inputs.

One of must play RPG games.
Positives: One of best/most interesting fight system ever (ripostes are best thing i have ever experienced in any swordfight) - Witcher fight is very lame in comparation. Quests are interesting, funny and it's possible to solve these in more ways. Nature is beautiful and symphonic and medieval soundtrack is great. Towns are created according real historic plans from historic Czech republic also main historic background is according history.

Yea, its harder, but not so much. Average player can do it (frustrated are noobs :)). Bow is very hard to handle, but its possible to learn it - but i recommend it for hunting. Story is good and conversations are great. I havent found saving system bad, its good that you cant load and load again to cheat.

Negatives: I have bought game after a year since release so I have experienced only 2 minor bugs, which had no influence on game. In middle game, i was very rich and there weren't better goods to buy. Monastery was frustrating but in was on purpose to meet alcoholic priests in basement.

So i would give 8-9/10 but many people rated this game bad because bugs werent fixed at that time, so i rate it 10/10.

No magic and stuff, only hardcore medieval times
I will give it 10/10, just because of people who will cry about bugs (I know there is lags but they will fix it, it's small team and independent studio) and SJW who will give it 0/10 because of "no POC in game"
    Strong 8/10

The game hosts some of the most solid first person sword fighting there is, enjoyable characters and story ,and a rich world to explore.

However an abundance of bugs, pacing issues, disappointing ends to some quest lines and optimization problems keep this game from reaching its full potential.

Con's: the first half of the game (arguably more) is only difficult because it is tedious. Most skills are locked out completely. Even when unlocked, some skills are excruciatingly tedious to level up (i.e., lock picking and archery). Real life archery was not as difficult as this game made it out to be. Any graphical attraction is overtaken by the numerous errors in loading, crashing, and T-poses. These are common occurrence. The save system could be interesting. However, the game crashes without being able to save regularly, without a lengthy (albeit enjoyable) process. Whoever made this game failed to test it beyond a few seconds because some game components sound beneficial but are taken too far. For instance, people can be aware of stealing according to noise. They will call out, “What was that?” This would not continually loop because NPC's go to investigate, and they will interrupt the activity with dialogue. That would have been fine, except it can happen with your own home’s chest. It’s not hard to find either because it’s at the beginning of the Tame, and such function, prevents you from saving during some missions. Last, traveling outside of a fast travel feels like going through a hallway with shrubbery that acts as fences to force the use winding roads, which gives the option of slow trot or medieval bumper cars (i.e., running into the environment). Quite possibly the worst combat system in years. This one has three strengths from the protagonist at the beginning to only takes damage for an extremely particularly timed counter. That means a quarter of the enemies will give an unstoppable attack by merely attempting to attack first. They are waiting to counter leads to another tedious experience because these combatants attack far less than any others. It has taken a ridiculous amount of time to have the opportunity to attempt a counter finally. Even then, they take a significantly reduced amount of damage, so this ordeal becomes a chore. More difficult enemies taunt you with their superior ability to use combos when you cannot (i.e., only a perfect counter)!

Multiple enemies will try to swarm from all directions. The game offers no means to counter this, so it’s either fight the combat system to change targets (excruciating) or utilize the only player strength of jumping to navigate the terrain. My suggestion to any considering this game would be to only get it on PC and mod it.
