Dec 7, 2022Kukoos: Lost Pets is cute, charismatic, fun and challenging. Not everything is as simple or obvious as it seems, and sometimes it will be necessary to take some time away from the game to recover that thirst for a new attempt after so many failures or even to start a new level. It can be a little tiring and not give you that urge to play until you complete it.

Dec 24, 2022Filled with the Brazilian charisma and inspired by the likes of Crash Bandicoot and Mario, Kukoos: Lost Pets is beautifully done and has a pretty nice gameplay. The only issue is that it has some mechanics limitations (and also the camera could be better). It doesn’t change the overall good experience, though.

Dec 9, 2022It’s not going to redefine what it means to be a 3D platformer, but Kukoos: Lost Pets is a pleasant enough addition that fans of the genre will enjoy. Bright and colourful, and with a nice mixture of collecting, platforming and puzzles, there’s plenty here to keep you invested. It’s just a shame that co-op is held back by some technical issues and its visuals aren’t quite as sharp as they ought to be.

Dec 20, 2022Kukoos: Lost Pets is a decent option for a parent introducing their child to the world of gaming in a low-stakes, cartoonish environment but it doesn’t offer much else besides the lamentable loading times. It’s cute, but there are other games that fill a similar introductory role much better than this one.

Dec 12, 2022Kukoos Lost Pets is a short platforming adventure that harkens back to the old days. There isn’t a whole lot of content. In fact, you can easily finish the game in an afternoon. Maybe two afternoons if you’re intent on collecting every coin, flower, and rescuing a pet. A few extra features would have gone a long way to build on the game’s foundation. Using coins to unlock cosmetic options for your character and pets would have been nice. But then again, there’s no real value in sticking around after the story is over unless you’re looking for that Platinum trophy.
