A tricky and challenging single-player game, joyously mad multiplayer action, and an incredibly in-depth creator mode combine to deliver what is without doubt, the best LittleBigPlanet game yet. Wonderful stuff.

It’s charming, fun, lighthearted and has a plethora of content to play and create. It’s a shame that the experience of LBP 3 couldn’t be a little more polished or the story mode just a little longer, because these are the only two blemishes on an otherwise excellent addition to the series.

The addition of many new tools is a giant step forward for creative minds. The story mode is short but sweet and we had a good time exploring the new characters. Too bad the cute little friends seem to attract a lot of bugs.

With the best level design yet, this is more LittleBigPlanet, but the new characters help keep it fresh.

We don’t know if this is no longer Media Molecule’s LittleBigPlanet series, but Sumo Digital has done a nice job with its third iteration. There’s also no doubt that the game will be supported with awesome and limitless user generated content.

LittleBigPlanet 3 is a great game for those who will dedicate themselves to the production of content and want to experience the creations of others.

LittleBigPlanet 3 is still a charming platformer and creative sandbox at heart, yet without the full attention of Media Molecule, it feels like it sorta lost its soul.

The game has exceeded my expectations so far and I thoroughly recommend playing with friends who might be on the fence using the SHAREplay function because its a blast with more than 3 people playing at once. Lots of chaotic fun I promise you will be laughing all the way through because it really is that enjoyable, so if you liked the previous two LBPs you'll enjoy this one and if your new to the franchise and want to try it for yourself before you buy ask your friend to share it with you. As such, all the same mechanics are present with some fantastic new tweaks, including better wall / object grabbing precision, better jumping, and 16 layers to switch between instead of the standard 4. The layer switching, particularly, is a point in it's favor.

When LBP1 came out, I found that it's greatest shortcoming was the difficulty a player would have switching between layers. It was often clunky and resulted in characters getting stuck behind the scenery. With LBP3, they've made transitioning much smoother and easier to do, so this is much less of an issue and sackboy/girl actually behaves the way you want them to.

I haven't delved too deep into the creation tools but from what I have seen, they have greatly streamlined the experience. Level creation is easier than it was previously, What's more, you cna upload levels made in LBP1 or 2 and play / share them in 3, so there's virtually no end to the content you'll get out of this title.

Soundtrack is, as usual, great. Better than in LBP2 for sure, with a return to more indie rock and alternative music that blends very well with the overall experience while still standing out in a good way.

If you liked LBP1 or 2, you should get 3. This is Little Big Planet on steroids, with more level options, a better structured story mode, fantastic creation tools, and all the charm you've come to expect from the series.

I *love* LittleBigPlanet. It's a really great way to show off your creativity to the world, and while we're on the subject of creativity,I *love* LittleBigPlanet. It's a really great way to show off your creativity to the world, and while we're on the subject of creativity, there's just endless possibilities on what you can do with your levels. LittleBigPlanet 3 is a strong addition to the series, and I mean it in the best way possible. My only problem with it is that the story is kinda short, and you can probably complete it in a few hours. They really are encouraging you to play all the creations that users have created. And I love that.

It shows off what the players can do with levels. While there is some poorly-made levels out there, most of the content you'll find our really great levels! You can even play levels made in earlier games. I also appreciate the upgrade from 3 layers to 16 layers, giving you the chance to really expand your levels in very unique ways. I'm not entirely sure if it's something I'll always use, though.

Unfortunately, the DLC is kind of lacking, seeing as there's not many LBP3 exclusive level packs. Really something you should skip over.

Anyway, long story short, it's a great game if you really want to see user-generated content, and I highly recommend you pick this game up.

WAY too buggy. If this game wasn't rushed out the door, this might be the best LBP. It's kinda sad.
