Lackluster remake of a broken game, similar to DuckTales. Story is extremely slow. Redo after redo after redo makes this content a 4/10 due to minimal interesting music, and that's it.

STAY AWAY from this and spend your money properly on better games.

New 'n' Tasty was touted as a remaster of the classic Abe's Oddysee, and although on a surface level this would appear to be the case, this new edition lacks much of the charm of the original. These unfortunately work to its detriment, simplifying previously complex obstacles and making the solution to others unclear. Furthermore, blatant in-game advertising and an overuse of bloom effects instead of real lighting and detail gut this title of any soul. Expand

I played and finished Abe's Odyssey a few times and it was a piece of art.

I bought the "New & Tasty" expecting it would be the very similar at least, but a lot of the original game is "missing". "New & Tasty" feels like an incomplete, rushed piece of garbage sold through the original's name. The controls need SERIOUS work as it sub-par in comparison to the original game (and most games

The controls need SERIOUS work as it sub-par in comparison to the original game (and most games of the time) - the new game is also more frustrating than enjoyable due to the glitchy mechanics sloppy programming, and plain lazy execution.

This could have been an opportunity to release another great game, but there are way too many negatives to leave a good impression. Unfortunately "New & Tasty" aims big, but falls horribly short.

It’s been a long time since any game offered me such an engaging challenge and rewarded with so much satisfaction. [10/2014, p.62]

Just as delicious as we remember it, but now cut much thicker and slathered with gorgeous graphical garnish. Bon appetit. [October 2014, p74]

New ‘N’ Tasty is exactly what it claims to be: a new experience still instantly familiar to anyone that played the original, and vital playing for those that didn’t. Oddworld was a defining presence on the Playstation, and New ‘N’ Tasty will remain a defining experience on the new generation of consoles, too. It’s a pleasure to see a remaster done so well.
