    Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier features a story that manages to excite and get players invested in despite it not going too deep into the lives of both apes and humans. It’s also an important experiment in storytelling, and one that largely winds up being successful.

    As an animation movie, Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier would be better. Understanding this product as a videogame, we believe that it is quite limited and we only have a couple of dialogue options to choose, being irrelevant in most cases.

    I really wanted to like Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier. The Apes world is fascinating and a Telltale-esque game set in that universe has all the makings for an amazing experience. While it’s an awesome idea, Last Frontier’s execution just isn’t there. Hopefully Imaginati Studios and 20th Century Fox don’t give up on this idea, though. Video games are iterative and developers learn from their mistakes. While Last Frontier can’t be recommended on its own merits, its concept has potential and shouldn’t be abandoned.

    Overall, I believe that this decision-based game has been developed with multiplayer in mind and I feel that is where you will get the valueOverall, I believe that this decision-based game has been developed with multiplayer in mind and I feel that is where you will get the value for money with this game. Yes, you can play single player, but I feel that the true excitement from playing this game is not knowing how it will end despite making decisions. That is truly taken out of your hands when you add more people in to the mix. Otherwise, you may find yourself thinking this is just an animated film.… Expand

This isn't just lazy writing, it's incompetent writing. The voice acting is pretty bad as well, and it makes no sense that these apes can speak even better than the ones in the movies.

    This game wasn't even good as a drinking game. If we'd gone with any of our drink ideas, we'd have been f'd out of our minds within the first 10 minutes. Stay the hell away from this awful POS and go re-watch the awesome movies instead. Devs, shame on you for charging people for this. You are absolute crooks.    … Expand
