This makes it an enjoyable way to play poker for anyone who doesn't particularly want to risk their bank balance playing for real money, though the lack of a compelling progression system and underwhelming single player scenarios will more than likely stop you from going all-in.
Great game. Nothing I don't like about it. I only play in real-time, multiplayer tourneys, so can't complain about AI. Could use more emotes. Some tourneys take a while, but it becomes a battle of attrition, just as in real life. I have spent many 4-hour sessions at casino tables; a 30-40 min Prominence tournament is just fine with me. Love my avatar. Love kicking butt at the tables. Haven't spent a dime on the game.
Prominence Poker gets two things right. It's free and it knows the rules of poker. It's a serviceable poker game with a focus on online play and player customisation. What it probably needed to do is concentrate on giving players an uncluttered interface but instead it's all about the custom suits and silly hats which is odd given how ugly the game is. But it's a poker game and it isn't going to offend anyone and the game has an odd self-confidence about it. It may be bluffing though.
Exceptional, truly an underrated game and seriously good. It's not difficult, so it's easy to play for amateurs, but it's also enjoyable for professionals. I don't understand the rating of 5.9.
Having had moderate success at microstakes online and finding the whole 'play money' a complete waste of time, Prominence Poker was a nice surprise. Poker only really works if you have something to lose and surprisingly building your 'virtual' bankroll and spending some of the cash on some nice cosmetics, here and there, is more satisfying than I expected. The standard is obviously very low so it's easy to win. The game gives you enough to want to play again and not lose your money.
The game is like any mobile poker platform out there. It can be expensive to play, but it has some depths character customization and other things that makes it feel a little bit better to play. The AI is very dumb, making it 0 challenge to play it if you are not facing an online opponent.
So I’ve been playing this game for the past 4 months nonstop, I genuinely hate it but I’m a fan of poker so I find it’s the best game to play next to the casinos... However the biggest issue I find with this game is the realism in the River always benefiting certain players. Countless times I’ll go in to a hand with a pair of aces and kings on the flop and my opponent will have a 2 and a 7 off suit and will end up with a full house or 3 of a kind and beat me. It literally always happens on the river. 3 Aces off the flop and I’ve lost on the river to a 5 of clubs for a flush. The realism just is lacking heavily I find. I don’t understand why it’s always like this. I’ve lost countless chips to this existing issue. I just played a game maybe an hour ago and I had AK off the flop two pairs... the opponent had A 4 and on the turn a 4 came up to give him 2 pair mine being the higher pair, and of course on the river another **** 4 comes up. How is this possible and so consistent? I play poker competitively and I just don’t understand the logic in making the river win percentage so high ...? Can I get an explanation of possible thanks
I cannot think of a worse place to relax and enjoy some poker hands. THIS GAME HAS TO BE THE MOST PHONEY GAME EVER! From "action packed" flops to de-stacking bots in the game. Over and over and over again my percentages are through the roof and these "players" play probably the worst poker I've ever seen. they pay and pay and pay until the magical river hits leaving me sad and along in a cooler. I will never understand why there isn't a genuine poker app that's about the game of poker and nothing else. AVOID GAME AT ALL COSTS!!!
SummaryWelcome to Prominence Poker, a game that pits players from around the world against each other--and devious AI--to build the rep, prestige, and bankroll needed to be, and beat, the best of the best.
