Splasher manages to take one of the oldest gaming genres and deliver something new. Nothing about its novel mechanics come off as bizarre or out of place; it weaves mechanics and level design in such a way that it positively innovates. Kudos to the folks over at Splashteam for making a platformer that doesn’t rehash the same old experience.

Splasher is an exciting, colorful, and challenging game that platforming aficionados need to check out. Completing it once is a monumental task on its own but the fast and fluid controls and clever level design make replaying and perfecting stages just as enjoyable.

Brilliant platformer. Fast paced. Quite unique mechanics in the genre. Good learning curve. Medium difficulty. You should be prepared for aBrilliant platformer. Fast paced. Quite unique mechanics in the genre. Good learning curve. Medium difficulty. You should be prepared for a bit of frustration and challenge but nothing that cannot be overcome. Checkpoints are quite generous. Controls can be finicky at times when you need to splash some of the paint (the yellow bouncing one, for instance) downwards while running but with practice you can get through. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Expand
