Respawn has shown us, and EA, that single player games are well enough alive and kicking and has set a bright future for the Star Wars franchise of videogames if they keep this up.

What I am sure of is that Electronic Arts is finally delivering a worthy product that meets not only what fans of this franchise are waiting for, but what every consumer anticipates when paying for a AAA game in 2019.

Respawn have done an amazing job creating an adventure Star Wars fans cannot miss. This is the game we’ve been waiting for many years, and we are not disappointed. There are some flaws, although the experience, overall, is fantastic.

It's true that Fallen Order borrows liberally from other action games, but those elements work together with Respawn's combat and environment design, and a story that finds humanity in the Force and in its characters, to hone in on what makes the world of Star Wars worthy of revisiting again and again. Even with some rough edges, Fallen Order represents one of the most compelling game additions to the Star Wars franchise in years.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has a string of wisely chosen influences, and it delivers on the long-overdue promise of a fun Jedi action-adventure. Bugs and design wrinkles irritate.

You’re going to occasionally roll your eyes at a cheesy moment or groan at a technical issue, but Respawn did right by Star Wars.

Jedi: Fallen Order is both one of the best Star Wars games to date and distressingly unrefined.

Jedi Fallen Order respects and enriches the Star Wars lore with an engaging story and great characterizations. Gameplay and level design effectively blends aspects of Tomb Raider, Sekiro, God of War, and Uncharted with that Respawn flare we've come to know with Titanfall 2-- btw if you Haven't played Titanfall 2, it's one of the most fun FPS campaigns that's criminally overlooked. And bonus there's fan service customization for your lightsaber, clothes, and more. I was nervous going in knowing EA's history and was afraid if they would 'Visceral Games' Respawn, but happy and relieved to say that EA with no strings attached fully supported Respawn to deliver one of Star Wars' strongest entries yet and a 2019 sleeper hit. Loads of fun! Expand

The gameplay was consistantly fun and kept me wanting more and wanting to see whats next. Very buggy at launch, fell through the world many times and had to restart system a few of the times. Had fun constantly but something about it had me underwhelmed. Maybe it wasn't long enough or enough worthwhile things to search for that had an impact on gameplay but this is what drops it to a 9. Solid grounds for fallen order 2 running on UE5... only danger is, obviously, EA’s dismaying ineptitude.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I had high hopes but it just didn’t stick the landing. I get lots of people will love this game and that’s okay I’m not here to hate on you for loving the game, just to give my opinion on it. The Story. I feel the story of this game isn’t all that great. It’s not bad, but it’s not good either. It’s just decent. The problem I have is just the base idea “rebuilding the Jedi Order” this is probably the most generic Star Wars story that you can make. When I heard this game was going to be about a Jedi Padawan after Order 66 I was so excited. I thought we were just going to get a game with you playing as a young Jedi right after Order 66 on the run from the newly instated empire. Having to learn the ways of the force by yourself with nothing but your Masters training. Just that would have been great. We didn’t need a “Rebuilding the entire Jedi order, while on the run, and while being hunted by the empire. It’s just too much. I also don’t get the point in the whole Rebuilding the order if we already know it isn’t going to happen. This was just a bad choice in my opinion. Our Protagonist.
The actor playing Cal seems to be doing his best with the script he’s been given but for me he still falls flat. The character is generic and bland. “Blah blah blah light side or dark side blah blah blah Jedi order blah blah blah I’ll be a good guy.” The best characters in this game are the side characters which isn’t a bad thing but Cal is just so absolutely boring for me. You can tell what decisions he’ll make nothing ever surprises me with what he does. It also doesn’t help the Cal just doesn’t look, sound, or act like a badass Jedi. He just looks goofy to me and I know some people agree. Lastly the Customization.
The customization overall in this game is complete garbage. Yes the Lightsaber customization is really good. You really get to make it feel like your own, but that’s it. That’s all the customization. All that’s left is new poncho and outfit colors. Really? Colors? You couldn’t be bothered to make at least one more outfit? When I found out about this I was baffled. I couldn’t believe that they released a game with one single outfit. The best thing about the Force Unleashed games was the outfit customization! You could look like anyone you could look good or evil, Jedi robes, or a Sith monster. It was incredible. I get this game you are 100% a “good guy” which is okay, but we couldn’t get any Jedi robes? Or just a new jacket? It’s pitiful that this is what we got for all the customization. Guess what you get for completely the game on the hardest difficulty? You get nothing. No colors. No outfits, No lightsaber. Nothing. That is absolutely shameful. There is no point in beating the game on the hardest difficulty. All you get is a trophy...

I do have one good thing to say. The gameplay is smooth and the graphics are pretty amazing. It can be a little janky at times but wielding your lightsaber just makes you feel powerful and untouchable which is how it’s supposed to feel. This game just disappointing. For me it misses all the marks. There’s a great game hiding in this one somewhere but it just feels like it’ll never see the light of day. I’m glad people actually like it I’m happy it isn’t a train wreck. Thanks for reading I appreciate it.

The story is trash, the gameplay is probably one of the most frustrating boring **** i've ever played and it's the same over and over and over. The most repetitious crap i've ever played and I have played A LOT of games.

I cannot stress enough how bad this game is. I cannot believe anyone rates this above a 5. Unbelivable. I stopped playing after 2 days, I think that has almost never happend before.
