Super Sports Blast is a pretty enjoyable package of sports games. I’d have no problem recommending any of its component parts individually (though Super Volley Blast would have some caveats), which means that all three together are — to borrow a sport that Unfinished Pixel haven’t yet tried their hands at — a slam dunk.
Super Sports Blast is a compilation that gathers the three previous
games under the Super Sports name in one offer, bringing tennis,
volleyball and football under one game. While the gameplay of the
original titles is left intact, this compilation adds nothing to the
overall experience and its sole advantage is the convenience of having
all three games in on package. Players looking for a simple and
accessible experience will enjoy themselves, but the lack of an online
multiplayer is something that should be corrected in the future.
Super Sports Blast generally feels a bit anemic despite the inclusion of three sports, and the lack of polish isn’t quite balanced out by its budget pricepoint. It’s a workmanlike collection, and although it never feels broken its lack of any real spark or magic wears you down before long.
