With its combat system being easily to learn and play and with quite a large amount of content, this title becomes an interesting alternative in the genre and for the series fans.

Fatal Bullet isn't perfect, but it's a very enjoyable game thanks to its well-designed core mechanics. If you like SAO, you'll enjoy this game.

While the game is a lot of fun, it is hard to shake the feeling that if it was a full MMO it would be better. The Co Op mode goes someway to fix this and thankfully there is plenty of content to keep fans of the genre and of the series occupied. Definitely worth playing if you want an anime inspired world to run around in for a long time.

Not exactly the ultimate Sword Art Online game we were looking for, but different enough from its predecessors to entertain.

I'm torn over the score for Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet. The move from the ever-more-stale MMO combat kept me interested and entertained to the very end, but the painfully slow start, the blah and unnecessary multiplayer, the bland environments, repetitive enemies and almost hilariously bad cutscenes take a change for the better and stack negative after negative on top of one of the best things the SAO series has ever done.

Uninspiring environments and generic gameplay mean that only hardcore fans of the SAO series will get the most out of Bandai Namco's latest effort.

Saying that Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet is at least playable is the best compliment I can give it, as there's occasional fun to be had from running around and shooting things, though not nearly enough. Almost everything else about the game amounts to a sterile waste of time. The story is vapid, the variety of locations and enemies is practically non-existent, and everything you do in the game feels completely pointless. It's not even content I'd recommend to diehard fans of the series, as there's not really even enough of that here to matter. Fatal Bullet was a chance for the game portion of the Sword Art Online franchise to step up and shine under a new developer with a new gameplay focus, but instead the entire thing shamefully fell flat on its face.

The ending story isn’t great and after you beat the main story you have to restart but the main story is great and the combat system is amazing and the skill sets are amazing. The way you organize stats is very easy and there are a huge variety of weapons. The game is hardcore when you get to about level 60, which is when the hardcore stuff comes on including leveling which is a devil to deal with in this game. Expand

A robot girlfriend lol that is loyal real loyal. K.
It just came out so no endgame just yet no game has it immediately.
It reminds me of Xenosaga with the skits and combat.
As far as story get the manga if it that much of a big deal.
The further you progress the better the COOP
But remember they are stressing single player play in this one not multiplayer.
Go play Dead Destiny 2 if you want endgame that goes nowhere.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Direction: From start to finish, this game was a MASTERCLASS as far as Direction is concerned. The intentionally BAD Kirito Mode, the amount of world building and inclusiveness, and just general execution makes this game satisfying on many levels. A solid 10/10 S Rank.
Sound: This soundtrack was numerous but unimpressive. I'd say it is on the side of high mediocrity. 7/10 is my score. A C.
Story: There ARE a lot of positives here, but bad Kirito Mode and Pacing issues are present. However, the amount of foresight and planning make these issues irrelevant, and leaves a demand for more from me. FEED! ME! MORE! 9/10 A solid A Rank.
Design: Quite frankly, this was great too. All characters are distinct, have their own quirks, fit into the world quite well, Death Gun is **** awesome in design as usual, and GGO is breathtaking when done right. I'm giving this an 8.5/10. A High B, Low B+
    Overall Rating:
Holy crap was this game AWESOME! That is TWO games now Bandai Namco, if you count Tales of Berseria. I will rate that game when I platinum it.
I will give the Overall Rating a 9.25/10. A bit of a Solid A. While not perfect or infallible, this game is fun, adrenaline pumping and gets you to care about everything in the game.
Plus Itsuki saving one of my favorite characters ever that got sent through the **** really makes me a happy OneMan.
That being said, IGN gives it a 5.9.

SAO FB is an addictive game that will delight the fans of the license. Playing an original character instead of Kirito is a good thing imo. InSAO FB is an addictive game that will delight the fans of the license. Playing an original character instead of Kirito is a good thing imo. In the old games I had trouble creating a character too far from his appearance because I knew that the other characters considered our avatar as Kirito (making a girl was, for exemple, was impossible for me). Problem solved here.

The gameplay is quite complete with a lot of features to optimise our character and offers a lot of customization options. Too bad that the A.I is so badly coded and the multiplayer so anecdotal (not a single coop dungeon or real PVP mode? In a PVP mmorpg simulation? WTF?).

Those mistakes makes the game lose two points on the note that I would give him.
