Clementine’s character is renowned as being one of the most impactful and most beloved videogame characters ever. Seeing her entire story retold with beautiful graphics and supported by a plethora of extras feels deserved and right.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series is the complete package. If you haven't yet experienced Clementine's genre-defining journey through the zombie apocalypse and fancy a few bonuses thrown in for good measure, then this is absolutely essential. Not to be missed.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series really is just that, a truly definitive final edition of the entire series. I recommend this game to every single person who may play games, even those who may not be a fan of the play-style this game utilizes. In the end, this is a definitive game not only in the genre it exists in, but it is also one of the more definitive games in the history of gaming.

In total, this is quite a collection that spans the rise and fall of a truly landmark series. The bonus material is a nice addition and the ability to revisit any and all parts of the saga in one place is welcome. I’m tempted to recommend this collection on the strength of the first series alone, but something as complete as this is a no-brainer for anyone who’s a fan of the franchise, of zombie apocalypse stories, or of episodic storytelling in general.

This actually is a definitive collection. A series that changed video games, full of extra content to help us discover or experience once again a unique adventure.

The Walking Dead and Clementine say goodbye to the world of video games with a gold brooch that rounds out the experience, offering exclusive material that the most curious will appreciate. It presents the four seasons of history, and adds the adventure starring Michonne to complement. If we add to this a graphic review for the first games, we have a product that satisfies the lovers of the genre and that they should not miss.

Improved visual aspects, feeling of unity in each season and several hours of extra content are enough elements to give this collection a chance. It is the closure that the franchise deserved.

Ultimately, The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series is a mixed bag. If you haven't yet played through these seasons and are interested in taking the plunge, this offers a good way to do so as long as you're aware that the series eventually runs out of steam.

To start you are better off buying the original games by themselves for multiple reasons. Reason one, A New Frontier and Michonne are terrible games that are not worth playing through. The Final Season also loses a lot of quality after episode 2 as the story nose dives and ruins what was going so well in episodes 1 and 2. Reason Two, the originals arguably look much better than the definitive edition. Graphic Black simply does not look right on these older games as it lazily placed on with no thought into it. These games were never meant to be rendered in this style, so many times while playing it looks terrible.

It is also worth mentioning the game still has plenty of bugs that have not been bothered to be fixed that have been around ever since the originals. Many times due to the new lighting the game can look like trash often times making everything black, sometimes characters look like they are melting.

In terms of new features, there is a model viewer, concept art, music player, and developer commentaries. However, none of this is worth the re-purchase. All this content can just be watched on youtube and you will not miss out on anything, and not to mention most features like this are already in base games at this point, this is far from something unheard of. Dev commentaries are also only 1 episode per season (except for Final which is eps 1 and 4) however, they dont even play the entire episode for the commentary, it stops after only about an hour.

With all this said, I cant justify this purchase. Its a cheap cash grab for the same games you've played before that will play the exact same way you played them before. The only incentive to re-play is the new look, which looks worse than the originals. You can turn it off, but at that point, just buy the originals for cheaper.

Games from Telltale were the only projects that made an unimaginable impression on me. Recall at least such masterpieces as "The wolf among us" and of course all the seasons of "The walking dead". I will never forget that. And I`m ready to support every move of Skybound. Thank you. Full Review »

Quite possibly my favorite gaming series, all bundled into one package with improvements in graphics and many extra features. This is a must have.
