Regardless of the bizarre lip movements, Twin Mirror is an excellent adventure game. Not only was I enthralled by its mystery, I was absolutely enamored with the presentation. I wasn’t expecting something so filmlike and cinematic, but I walked away delighted and I can say that some of its powerful scenes will stay with me for a while.

It might not be as groundbreaking as some of DONTNOD Entertainment’s other games, but Twin Mirror really holds up as a replayable adventure. Its Mind Palace mechanics are a lot of fun and each ending was a delightful revelation that made me question my own sense of truth. Overall, the game is an excellent addition to this company’s library of high-quality narrative-driven games. My only complaint is that it’s a tad steep price for its length, so I’d probably wait for a sale.

Things that are important for this genre of games:

    > Interesting protagonist > Good graphics & animations > Great facial animations
Things that are important for this genre of games:

    > Interesting protagonist

    > Good graphics & animations

    > Great facial animations and lip-sync

    > Engaging and interesting story

    > Even pacing and good narrative structure

    > Interesting and well-written characters

    > Important and impactful decisions

    > No 'illusion of choice'

    > No meaningless interactions - "press X to make a vague, uninteresting comment about thing''

Twin Mirror excels in none of them. It's beyond me how this game manages to learn nothing from the genre and what makes an interactive story game successful.

While not a complete waste of time, Twin Mirror is not much more.

It's a fine, underrated, detective game, and your choices actually affect the outcome. The graphics are great. Some bugs like audio cutting out or parts of characters disappearing (played on PS4 Pro). Full Review »

Sure, it lacks a bit the scope of the Life is strange games and the twist is not that shocking but I felt that the characters were written great and i was entertained well. Full Review »
