Running at about six hours, this game is a lot of fun with a decent story and some great action packed fights. If you haven't played either, I would recommend playing this first, then picking up last years release.

A wonderful prequel to the New Order. Did you like the original game? Then you'll definitely want... nay, NEED this. What are you waiting for?

Doesn't reinvent the wheel or go above last year's offering. Just a solid fan-service that delights much more that it 'infuhreriates'. [July 2015, p80]

The Old Blood is a solid, fun and challenging shooter, with its distinctive mix between old and new school. Unfortunately, the original The New Order set the bar very high, and this expansion clearly can't keep up.

Had The Old Blood been injected with more new blood, maybe it would have matched or surpassed the quality of The New Order. But by over-relying on nostalgia to drive the experience, it's well-crafted fan service rather than an attempt to push the series in new directions.

The Old Blood is just OK. It’s a great deal for the price – as a $25 digital download via the PlayStation Store, the Xbox Games Store and Steam, it’s a rarity in an era when 25 bucks might get you a couple map packs’ worth of downloadable content – but I’ve discovered there’s such a thing as too old-school.

No multiplayer, No QTE. With Nothing added and nothing taken away, such a pure FPS game experience!
    I like it.

Despite not being too long, The Old Blood offers a reasonably long campaign mode with a nice variety of enemies, weapons and settings. What is more, gameplay is quite addictive and you can play either stealthily or killing every single nazi openly.

Besides, the challenges pose an interesting additional option, and it is great to play the nightmare (classic) levels once again, now inserted within the game itself.

    I highly recommend this Wolfenstein.

However, the frustrating level design and the steep difficulty increase, especially in the first few hours make it a less fullfilling experience and a lot more of a vexing chore.
I consider myself a decent FPS player, but I was forced to lower the difficulty setting several times to be able to advance in the campaign,..and the game stress gave me a tension headache.
I liked the original a lot and would love to say the same of the sequel (prequel?), but so far the experience has been slightly underwhelming.

Just like the last game, totally p**sed me off as got to the last level and couldn't finish it! Will never buy another in the WolfensteinJust like the last game, totally p**sed me off as got to the last level and couldn't finish it! Will never buy another in the Wolfenstein series again. Why does there have to be a ridiculous ending that I ended up getting totally stressed out over so deleted the disc and sold it for the 2nd time in a row!! Get real Bethesda, there is no fun in this type of game! Expand
