Is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla the best entry in the series yet? Some would be tempted to say so. While the map size might overwhelm some players, it remains an easy game to mainline with the right navigation mode turned on. In fact, the quick load times help to make this an even easier task than in previous generations. This is an iteration of Assassin’s Creed that has a bit of everything from the previous games, as refined as we have seen to date.

Valhalla is equipped with a number of gameplay systems that clearly echo the last two games and while positive tweaks and light refinements have been made, the overall experience feels overly familiar by now. What Valhalla lacks in originality, however, the visceral and fun combat makes up the deficit and that speaks volumes to me as a longtime fan. Packed with enough content on the disc and planned future DLC, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is another hefty and captivating entry in Ubisoft’s long running historical franchise.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla on PS5 is the definitive version of Ubisoft's epic Viking title. With a sharper resolution, silky-smooth frame rate and a reduced number of bugs and glitches, Sony's new console offers a more seamless and enjoyable platform to experience this mammoth, engrossing open-world game on.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla really comes together on PS5. Near instant load times combined with silky smooth performance make it a joyous open world excursion, complete with an engrossing main story. What's more, the countless bugs that plagued the PS4 version of the game have, for the most part, been squashed. This is Ubisoft's best ever attempt at an open world RPG in the vein of something like The Witcher 3, and while it is still a little rough around the edges, Valhalla leaves its mark as a top tier entry in the Assassin's Creed series.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is still a good game that borders on greatness, and the new generation is the place to go for the best experience. With a higher level of stability and some wonderful vistas to explore, alongside the continuous qualities in terms of control and combat, Assassin's Creed Valhalla is an impressive title to kick off the new generation.

There are two competing experiences here: that as as Assassin, and that as a Viking, that either on its own feels like it might have been a triumph and better than this good but not great Assass-king hybrid we have.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla effortlessly plants its banner as the best open world RPG available for the new consoles. This Viking epic flexes its gore-soaked, tattooed muscles when it comes to world-building, and medieval England wows with its enchanting untamed vistas. It’s also portioned out at a steady pace and, if not for the repetitive, limited combat, Valhalla could have ranked even higher among our favourite games in the series.

Norway and England look both incredible. Contrast between them makes both of them special in their own way. I love architecture in England,Norway and England look both incredible. Power level goes up really fast, if you actually loot chests and stuff. No grind or bs like that. Well done Ubisoft. Expand

It has the most beautiful world in the franchise and one of the most beautiful worlds Ubisoft have ever made. With an amazing story, I didn't want to stop playing the game because I didn't want to leave the beautiful world and the amazing character, I wanted to see how this world and story is gonna end. The story is not the best in the franchise but it's better than the previous 2 Assassin's Creed games. I liked the amazing ending and I'm so excited to play and see the next Assassin's Creed game. And the amazing gameplay and less gears, unlike the previous 2 Assassin's Creed games. The good thing that made Assassin's Creed Valhalla special than the previous 2 Assassin's Creed games is that Assassin's Creed Valhalla has social stealth. On of the best features that makes you an Assassin. Now I talked about the positive points in the game and now it's time to talk about the negative points. Assassin's Creed Valhalla had glitches in the post launch. I personally had a glitch that I can't get the last mission of the Order of The Ancients, but thankfully they fixed it fast. 98% of the glitches has been fixed and Ubisoft are working on the rest of the glitches and the DLCs. Best Assassin's Creed game since Black Flag. I really enjoyed playing this and getting the platinum trophy.

Very good game, but best to be played on PC or PS5. Just saying, but it should be kind of obvious.

There are certain quests that have been bugged since release that Ubisoft STILL has not fixed, but they keep pushing updates to sell cosmetics.

This was my most frustrating gaming experience ever, after sinking a considerable amount of time in this game I simply cannot progress, and Ubisoft refuses to refund or fix their game. It's a shame, because at it's core it is very fun, but in it's current state I absolutely cannot recommend it.
