Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles is an experience that never overstays its welcome. While the map may be simplistic and outdated, the combat, visuals, voice acting, and story more than make up for anything the game lacks. New and old fans will find something to enjoy here, while the versus mode will keep players engaged long after the credits roll.

The game offers exactly what it promises by presenting a high level of graphical fidelity, beautiful effects, a solid combat system, and a story mode that replicates some of the series’ best moments perfectly. The title also sets the foundations of what can become another successful series. With that said, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles is a title sure to hit the spot for both the fans of the acclaimed series and those of Arena Fighters in general.

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles is a title made for fans full of fan service. The simple, but fun combat makes it one of the best anime games of recent years, but it still has a couple of problems.

There’s a lot to like about Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles even if it isn’t exactly perfect. It’s a strong first step. The Adventure Mode’s execution and ideas are sound, even if it can feel a bit simple in practice. The Versus mode works well, with characters who feel distinct and have personalities come through. A few more fighters would be appreciated. It certainly looks good. And given a promise of free updates, it seems to have room to grow. In short, it’s enjoyable even if it isn’t perfect yet. And if what is here is the prelude to additional installments, a la the Naruto Ultimate Ninja series, I think it could hint at a bright future for Demon Slayer games.

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles is a fan service game, and it doesn't hide it. If you are a fan of the first hour then you will have no problem to dive into this adventure which mixes combat and narrative phases, all in the enchanting universe of the anime. For the others, the experience will lose a lot of flavor. The story mode is not always well-paced and the Versus mode is clearly not enough on its own. In the end, the game is mainly for fans of Koyoharu Gotōge's work.

A middling exploration game with subpar fighting mechanics, it’ll be harder to enjoy Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles if you’re not already a fan.

Demon Slayer: The Hikonami Chronicles is a bit lacking where it had everything to succeed: with a faithful representation of the characters of the anime, it does not go further, with an empty environment, dated textures and a technique that smacks of old, even on next-gen consoles, not to mention a cruel and glaring lack of variety in the action. But he has for him a model more than faithful to the anime and a combat system as simple as it is effective, which will appeal to the greatest number, despite a weak roster and great confusion in the action when several people are fighting at the same time. A game of average quality after all, for fans and for those who want to easily take their eyes off between combos.

This is one of those games alongside the Naruto Storm series as being one of the absolute best Anime to Game adaptations possible and actually making the Arena Fighter Situation Work very well.
Demon Slayer is a Fantastic Anime game with honestly The best Story mode CC2 has done Since Storm 2 imho. The Gameplay while similar to Storm on the surface is much more different In the nitty gritty Mechanical level. This game is just much much more in depth then Storm gameplay wise and has the potential for great Competitive play, Also Bonus points for Actually having The Animes Music play in the game which most anime games fail to Have due to licensing issues im sure, seriously the Music from the Actual anime makes the Games Boss fights and story moments that much more impactful, and MAN the boss fights while Easy aside from last few, are all an absolute spectecal and blast to play against. Were also getting 6 Free playable Demons via free updates which is nice. Honestly this is Quite litterally One of if not The best Anime To Game adaptation ive ever seen its Masterful, CC2 knocked it out of the Park, my only criticism is the small roster size but Ill give it credit that every character aside from acadamy versions feels totally unique and Different from eachother even characters with the same attacks Those attacks have different combo and Attack properties, the 6 free demons should of been in at launch but at least were getting them for free. If this game had a roster of like 30 it would be flat out perfect. Highly recommend to ANY Anime fan especially Demon Slayer Fans!

The story mode feels outdated, but it doesn‘t feel like it‘s the main focus of the game.
Overall I would recommend the game to fans of the franchise!
