Destruction AllStars may not be a killer app that sells you on a PS5, but anyone who owns a PS5 will be happy to add it to their library. It is definitely one of the best perks of owning a PS5 yet.

With slick and satisfying gameplay wrapped in a visually stunning package, AllStars has an almost limitless potential that will only go unrealised if a few irritating roadblocks stay unmoved.

What is there, entertains only briefly - and the banishment of the other episodes behind a payment barrier is crap. The scope could also be more generous in general: If you deduct Stockpile, which is currently too haphazardly for me, only three modes remain in very similar arenas; The character skills and special attacks of the hero cars are too interchangeable for me. Ultimately, however, I'm curious to see where the journey with Destruction AllStars is going - both in terms of new content and the question of whether it might become a full-price title at the beginning of April.

Destruction AllStars can be a brilliantly frantic multiplayer game, with fun characters and cars, great DualSense feedback, and entertaining modes. However, it can ring a little hollow at times when the action dips. Lacklustre customisation options and mictrotransaction-locked content doesn't help matters, but when everything is playing out smoothly, this is more than capable of giving you a good time. Currently free to PS Plus members, it's well worth taking for a spin.

Destruction AllStars is a game that should be offered to all PS5 buyers. If it justifies its place in a basic bundle, it certainly does not have the qualities for a purchase. Too repetitive to be fun in the long run, it could perhaps become more interesting evolving. But its reputation is unfortunately already known.

Destruction All Stars is a game with fun gameplay and a pleasant technical showcase. The amount of content, unfortunately, is not enough to keep players' interest high in the long run. An articulated plan of updates and contents will be needed for the future.

Out of the 4 modes available at launch, 2 of them feel redundant and unbalanced. The single-player content is slim and if you want even a crumb more, you’ll have to pay, which leaves Destruction Allstars feeling like a clumsy, hollow product whose fun moments go by in a blur.

I don’t know whats worse, A free to play styled game costing $70 or sony giving us a free game in our free game playstation plus slot
Either way, Destruction Allstars is just unacceptable as either of those 2 things…
This is a car combat game, you have all 16 characters from the start, all with their own special vehicles that have a unique perk to that characters, I love that, giving this game a little personality, and after choosing your character youre into 1 of 4 multplayer modes
All of which ae based on the games osul mechanics, you run around, jump into cars, steal cars, and wreck people,
First Mayhem which is a game of get to the car, and get as many points by slamming into or wrecking opponents… This just isn’t fun, youre constantly respawning, and to me it just defeats the purpose of a game like this, why can I eject last second and jump into a new car if at the end of the day it doesn’t really matter, I wont be eliminated? Theres gridfall where dying does actually matter, as its all sudden death, which I wish there was a mayhem version with this stipulation, but in gridfall players will just wait on platforms for everyone else to die for that easy cheap win, this mode is currently broken and again after a couple matches isn’t any fun…
Then there are the 2 8 vs 8 modes
Carnado where you get as many gears as possible by wrecking and crashing into eachother, and then driving into the carnado the bank the most points, probably the most fun mode here, but much like the others, quickly looses its charm, and then we have stockpile, you wreck opponets cars, take the egars, and then bank them at one of 3 points, trying to take control of those points for your team, this mode I awful, never starts being fun to even stop…
Theres also a challenge mode, which consists of currently 2 mini campaigns with 2 more to come soon, and get this.. one of the 2 campaigns you have to buy.. with real money…
its clear sony is porbably turning this into a free to play game, so.. why did this take up a slot in playstation plus again?
You should’ve gave us this real money currency for free instead along side this repetitive game,
But what is it that makes Destruction Allstars so unfun and not worth your time?
The lack of incentive, that’s what.. this game is mindless wrecking, and for what?
To spend 5 hours to be able to unlock one skin for one character?
you want me to play this game for hundreds of hours to unlock everything?
The progression here is so slow, with gameplay and modes that aren’t satisfying…
I have nothing positive to say about Destruction Allstars
it’s a let down, it feels greedy and slimy
Not worth your money and not worth a free games slot when its clearly being transitioned to a free to play game
    I give Desturcition Allstars
    a 5/10

It isn't a game I could personally binge play, but I can load it up and play a round or two and then put it down. The characters all seem super generic, like that are purposefully trying to make each character unique like a United colors of Bennington ad and have them all be quirky, but it comes off mostly as cheesy instead. At the time of writing this, there doesn't seem to be enough vehicle or character customizations. But based on the payment structure of the cosmetics, it seems somewhat lazy on Sony's end to have this as a PS Plus game for Feb 21 since this game is most likely going to be a free to play game in the near future. I feel that the courses give too much freedom of movement in such a large area. There have been times I am driving around for an entire minute and not hitting anyone. I think if they were to adopt more of a structured Roller Derby style track and you drove along that, it would be a little more interesting. I think this game needed more feedback from testers before being released because it just seems repetitive, generic, and overall monotonous. I feel I will revisit this game in a year or so as with many improvements, it could easily become an esport with the proper changes. Expand
