May 12, 2023PGA Tour drives one straight down the fairway with a game that will please golf fans and gamers alike.

Apr 26, 2023As golf games go, this is the most fun I have had in a while. It's a massive improvement over recent years' titles. The career mode is both addictive and rewarding, it's full of contact and the presentation is both cinematic and beautiful. A few issues will not get in the way of what I think is the best golf sim around at the moment. Let's hit the greens, people!

Apr 26, 2023EA is back with a golf game and they don't hit a hole in one right away, but they do come off well. The game mainly stands out for its beautiful courses and smooth gameplay, which can provide hours of fun via the extensive career. The presentation of the sport, on the other hand, is a bit thin and visually the animations are a bit disappointing. Otherwise, the game has many small improvements to make. Nevertheless, it is a decent golf game that will entertain fans of the sport.

Apr 24, 2023I wanted to love EA Sports PGA Tour. Though I find myself as disappointed as Bart Simpson was when he got Lee Carvallo’s Putting Challenge for Christmas. The initial gameplay showcase had me as excited as a kid in a candy store. There’s no denying it’s a gorgeous game. Course flyovers and commentary are also superb. But these fleeting moments of brilliance make PGA Tour’s missteps all the more frustrating. Until EA gets under the hood and performs the mountain of work required to get it up to snuff, I’ll be sticking to PGA Tour 2K23. At least that game works.
-
Apr 20, 2023EA Sports PGA Tour is beautiful, fun and has plenty of game modes for you to try, both online and offline. But it can be a little tough for newcomers to the sports. All things considered, though, it’s a successful comeback from EA Sports’ golf series.
-
Apr 20, 2023EA's return to the course is a surprisingly understated and supremely accomplished golf sim.
-
Apr 18, 2023With amazing visuals and a steeper-than-expected learning curve, EA Sports PGA Tour is a welcome return to the market.
-
Apr 17, 2023EA Sports PGA Tour is a game that fails to unleash its full potential. It offers a considerable amount of content and a rather realistic game structure, with some graphical bugs and some questionable choices in the game modes (especially in the Career) that slow down its race to success. This is a good starting point which that could improve along the way.
-
Apr 17, 2023EA Sports PGA Tour is probably the best golf game on the market right now, though that might not be as bold of a statement as it sounds.
-
Apr 14, 2023PGA Tour’s roster of stunning courses is complemented by perfectly balanced golf sim mechanics. It’s the best golf game in years.
-
Apr 12, 2023Golf – and therefore EA Sports PGA Tour – is not a simple game, but my feelings towards it can be expressed simply. It feels like playing the sport, and it’s hard to ask for much more than that.
-
Apr 12, 2023After almost a decade away from the sport, EA's return to the golf course is a promising one. The range of shot types, courses, and tangible variables make for a methodical and tactical game of golf that's both challenging and rewarding. It stumbles by barely introducing players to its robust mechanics, while a laggy swing and inconsistent putting are notable flaws on what is otherwise a fantastic golf sim. EA Sports PGA Tour represents a solid re-entry for the series and lays down a sturdy foundation for an auspicious future.
-
Apr 11, 2023EA Sports PGA Tour captures the intricate nuance of golfing. However, the systems struggle with what a user can reasonably decipher from a mere analog stick, leading to a frustrating experience. EA Sports PGA Tour is a game at odds with whether it wants to compete with rival 2K’s realism or veer closer to its own more arcade roots, and in the process, lands its first drive on this new round in the rough.
-
Apr 11, 2023EA Sports PGA Tour is a game full of details, I can say that it simulates the sport in a superb way, sometimes it has too many features of the sport in a limited way and it ruins the simulation but it does extremely well.
-
Apr 11, 2023EA Sports returns to the virtual links in a big way, with a PGA Tour with a pleasant visual impact. Unfortunately, EA Tiburon's simulation isn't perfect: despite a refined game physics, the control system is still a bit immature (a three-click version is about to arrive), the customization of your alter-ego can still be improved and some choice of game design appears questionable, think for example of the lack of tutorial. The thirty routes proposed are welcome, while the roster lacks an icon like Tiger Woods, although the offer of the package remains satisfactory overall.
-
Apr 11, 2023EA’s virtual golf game truly refines how golf should be played, and it offers you an apologetically realistic approach to the sport. If you have the patience to keep practicing, EA Sports PGA Tour will be one of the best and most beautiful golf games you have played.
-
Apr 11, 2023EA dazzles with its re-entry onto the fairways with EA Sports PGA Tour, which is comfortably the best golf game in years.
-
Apr 11, 2023While it still needs more polish, EA SPORTS PGA TOUR is fun to play and EA shouldn’t give up on the franchise.
-
Apr 11, 2023Between the lack of personality, inconsistent aesthetics, physics that, accurate or not, look broken, and cynical always online requirements, EA Sports PGA Tour gets just about everything wrong. I found myself jumping right back to Easy Come, Easy Golf almost immediately. Sure, it’s not the most realistic golf game out there, but at least it has fun with the sport and I’m not booted from the game after every other hole. EA’s dour, miserable effort is the “you must be fun at parties” joke/insult manifested as a sports game.
-
Apr 11, 2023EA’s long-awaited return to the golf course is a solid effort, not an outstanding one. There are some structural and balance issues that hold the game back from greatness but there is still an enjoyable walk around the virtual course to be had.
-
Apr 10, 2023EA Sports PGA Tour is meant for people who want a golf game that’s true to the sport. It’s not often you see a sports game that embraces the “get good” mentality to the extent this one does, but if you’re after the real thing, you’ll find it here.
-
Apr 10, 2023EA is back in the golf competition with a solid title that fans of virtual golf will enjoy and, even though there is room for improvement, there’s also a solid foundation to build next entries upon.
-
Apr 10, 2023This is a promising return to golf for EA Sports. It’s slow of pace, it’s tough to get into, and it’s a little staid and fuddy-duddy at times (most of the background music makes you feel like you’re on hold to a financial service call centre), but the accuracy of the ball physics, the huge range of shots and the highly tactical nature of the play gives serious players the challenge and realism they want. I wish there was a smoother on-ramp for beginners, or a much more basic arcade mode for those who want to thrash through a few holes with pals, but this is a sim after all and when it comes to sport, EA does not mess around.
-
Apr 9, 2023EA Sports PGA Tour celebrates a successful comeback. Thanks to frostbite-engine, the game looks really good and delivers great tactical depth on the green. Career, Multiplayer and Challenge deliver a good amount of content, but lack a bit on the presentation-side.
-
Apr 9, 2023While there are a few weird and unusual bugs that plague the game as well, for example certain lighting instances actually changing the colour of your golfer's hair, generally speaking, EA Sports PGA Tour is a fun and entertaining golf game that excels in the places that matter the most; the gameplay, the courses, and the experience. If you're looking for a way to double-down on golf this Masters weekend, then EA Sports PGA Tour is a good title to take a look at, just save yourself some disappointment and keep clear of the Store tab.
-
Apr 7, 2023EA Sports PGA Tour is a good golf simulation that marks the return of the series after years of absence from the green, even if EA Tiburon hasn't managed to make a "hole in one" despite offering satisfying gameplay. The realization of the courses and the physics of the ball is truly remarkable, while the pleasant visual appearance clashes with some technical defects linked to an imperfect use of Frostbite. Overall, EA Sports PGA Tour is an enjoyable gaming experience, designed primarily for golf enthusiasts.
-
Apr 7, 2023EA Sports PGA Tour proves what the publisher is capable of at its pomp: this is a jaw-droppingly beautiful sports game, with a sublime selection of licensed courses and a surprising amount of depth. Its demanding swing mechanic is slightly let down by a sluggish frame rate, but its single player is boosted by a strong sense of progression – and in multiplayer there’s tons to do. This is an impressively strong effort overall, and a sign of good things to come ahead of the company’s other anticipated comeback, EA Sports College Football.
-
Apr 7, 2023It’s not quite the bogey-free round that enthusiasts would hope for, but EA Sports PGA Tour does an amazing job of being one of the truest tests of virtual golf yet.
-
Apr 7, 2023EA Sports PGA Tour is an excellent and challenging golf game that manages to capture everything that the player wants from a title of the genre. Its gameplay is excellent and the career and challenge modes work exactly as they should, with the package being further enriched by the good online modes and the beautiful graphics of the title.
-
Apr 7, 2023EA SPORTS PGA TOUR hits the right spot and manages to strike an excellent balance between hyper-realistic simulation and arcade golf, with many game modes, both online and offline, and an interesting use of top-notch, up-to-date technology to develop faithful virtual reconstruction of the most beautiful golf courses in the world, keeping a keen eye on ball dynamics. The experience is fun and enjoyable, also due to the numerous options given to players to customize the difficulty level; it’s a shame that swings have not been rendered in a truly precise way, but EA Sports makes it up building a robust, governable game system, capable to adapt to the needs of both absolute beginners and golf pros alike.
-
Apr 7, 2023The gameplay isn't as smooth and is certainly less intuitive, as well as more complex, than the 2K alternative. It is a fun game, without a doubt, but which in some choices is a bit immature and which still has some way to go: we have some technical stumbles, little care in customization and a gameplay that could be revised to be more accessible to the public.
-
Apr 7, 2023Slick, high-tech, and impeccably well designed; this is the best golf game of the modern era and the new standard for others to aspire to.
