Create more scoring opportunities with all-new dynamic attacking systems in the most intelligent FIFA gameplay to date. A new Agile Dribbling system gives you the means to unleash your creativity in 1-on-1 situations. Use fast footwork, more responsive close control, and new skill moves like the ball roll fake to explode past defenders. In FIFA 21, increased positional awareness elevates footballers’ in-game intelligence to put them in the right place at the right time. See world-class forwards hold their runs in line with the last defender, creative playmakers find space to play through balls, and midfielders shut off passing lanes as players better live up to their real-world understanding of space and time on the pitch. FIFA 21 for Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S is definitely best and most beautiful version of this years FIFA-outing. It gives a glimpse on things, that can become a big thing in the next couple of years, but also fails to make changes on certain lackluster gameplay-features of the game.

FIFA 21 has gained some muscles with this version for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, although the play style is the same we already saw in PS4 and Xbox One. EA Sports has not taken all the profit from the new hardware, but it is great that you can upgrade for free if you have the version for the previous generation.

This is a substantial package that's propped up by exciting gameplay that puts the onus squarely on attacking football. There are moments of frustration on defense when the balance doesn't feel quite right, but then you'll go down the other end and score a Puskás Award contender that makes you forget why you were mad in the first place.

Don’t expect a revolution. The PS5 version of the latest FIFA looks better, runs at 60 fps in 4K, and loads matches much faster, but the only feature truly worth focusing on is the creative use of haptic feedback (e.g. as your player gets tired, triggers gradually become harder to press). While FIFA 21 is as good a showcase for the potential of the DualSense as we’ve seen so far, the underlying issues with this entry remain. [Issue#184, p.88]

On PS5 and Xbox Series X, FIFA 21 enjoys a healthy bump in graphical quality, with a Forstbite engine that's impressive as ever. But outside of this visual improvement, the game hasn't changed, and the same problems are still there.

If you own a next-gen console and are willing to play FIFA 21, you don't need to hesitate as it is a beautiful and vibrant version of the game... But really similar to the one available on PS4 and Xbox One, not very well balanced on the pitch.

It is a sports game that applies haptic feedback and adaptive trigger, which are functions of DualSense, well :)

Graphics receive a decent bump for the PS5 and look verygood (where they are using the real player face).

Graphics receive a decent bump for the PS5 and look verygood (where they are using the real player face).

Presentation is as good as ever, but it really slows the game down in career mode which is what I enjoy playing. It significantly takes away from the enjoyment of just playing game after game. You should be able to skip certain cut scenes far quicker as well as move from game to game quicker (i.e. give us an option to just simulate all training and don't ask/make you press a different button each time to do that)

Injury time needs fixing - quite often +1 minute goes on for 5+ minutes.

Overall, I enjoyed 20+ hours with the game, but have now uninstalled it and probably won't go back to FIFA for another couple of years.

Patch after patch. Completely alters the gameplay (back to fifa 19imo) This is possibly the most unrealistic version yet. Need a 76 button combo just to get your player to sprint. Honestly avoid the P2P game at all cost. Just a horrible horrible game Expand

I have bought and played Fifa since 2011 and I have noticed a devolution over the years, but the 2021 version is a joke. EA has turned FIFA 21 into a circus, Fortnite-like game as opposed to a soccer/football simulator.
Disco music celebrations, ridiculous banners on the stands, I guess next year they will add the possibility of playing with Messi using a Stormtrooper helmet or Cristiano Ronaldo with a crocodile head.
If that was not enough, all online games finish 5-4, 4-3, 5-5, 6-6...pretty realistic, right?
The players move as if they were ice skating on the pitch...
I also miss the days when having a player like Harry Kane or Luis Suarez on your Ultimate Team was something to be proud about. Nowadays all teams have Messi, Salah, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin De Bruyne, etc.
EA has destroyed this franchise, but hey...I guess this kind of game is what the younger generations (Fortnite fans ) like.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for Pro Evolution Soccer to come with a game that looks something like football next year.

Will we change the generation of consoles just to have faster loadings? This is unacceptable.

FIFA 21 is the worst FIFA ever. I have been a loyal fan of FIFA since 11 years, but FIFA 21 has been disappointing in so many ways.
