Presenting the lore of Robin Hood in a whole new way, there’s a really fun and unique game in Hood: Outlaws and Legends. While it has a number of balancing issues that can impact matchmaking in various ways, it’s all wonderful when it works. Hood is a game that frustrated me on numerous occasions, but was also one of the most thrilling and distinctive multiplayer stealth experiences since Assassin’s Creed’s multiplayer modes. With some long term love and care, Hood has a ton of potential to really stand out. Hopefully that means the growth of the community with it in order to establish the kind of healthy player base that a multiplayer title needs.
There is a roadmap in place for future content, including new maps, weapons, and more, which bodes well, and the game is also budget-friendly at its $29.99 price point. Throw in some solid visuals and a truly fun and satisfying gameplay loop and you've got yourself a one-of-a-kind Robin Hood-themed adventure that will have you coming back for more. That said, it could be even better, and it will be interesting to check in a year from now and see how far it's come.

I'm not big on writing reviews for games but for this, it is totally justified. And this game needs more support in the gaming community, because frankly its outstanding. Its rare that I go to sleep thinking about a game. But this is like chess but with a bow and arrow and a death hammer. The stategy and gameplay of this new style of pvp is incredible and I am truly addicted. It also looks and feels outstanding, with force feedback on the triggers its next level and truly pushing the envelope of gaming . I cannot recommend it enough. Its takes awhile to formulate in your brain, but when it does, I guarantee you will be hooked. Well done guys, on making a truly unique and enjoyable gaming experience.

Hood: Outlaws & Legends offers a barebones experience that is best played with a dedicated team of wolves. Those seeking fame and riches on their own may find themselves lamenting the lack of content both available day one and what's to come in the first year roadmap. Hood may certainly grow in the future, but the first impressions leave much to be desired.
Hood: Outlaws & Legends does not make enough of its good opportunities and disappoints with monotonous rounds and small scope.
Hood: Outlaws and Legends brings together good ideas in a very interesting setting, it is fun if we have a team of three friends, but it does not disguise the notorious lack of content and a schematic doomed to fail into a routine of fights, which goes against the intention the of game’s design. The game would benefit from a story mode and a richer progression system with better visual feedback. It is certain that there is newer content on the horizon, which will promote other synergies and greater unpredictability. However the game runs the risk of not deserving the attention it boasts nowadays.
Hood: Outlaws & Legends has moments of brilliance but they are few and far between, and totally dependant on who you’re playing with. The game also suffers in the content department. Unless unlocking digital trinkets and garments is your idea of a good time, there’s not much else aside from the one game mode and four playable characters, meaning you’ll have seen most of what Hood has within a few hours of play.
Hood: Outlaws & Legends tries too hard to mesh different game types into one unified multiplayer experience, and its lofty ambitions get buried under clashing elements. What could have been an exciting co-op title ended up a frustrating slog, and in a heist — whether it’s a movie or a game — if the main caper ain’t good, the rest doesn’t matter.

hood outlaws and legends is a 4 team pvpve heist game, you choose one of 4 characters all with their unique feel and abilities and attempt to complete a heist all while competing against another team of 4 trying to do the same,
gameplay wise this is very stealth focused, you attempt to not raise too much attention and pick of guards for your teams, claim spawn points on the map, while you or the rest of the team grabs a key from the sheriff, finds the fult room, takes the chest to the extraction point and defend your position from the enemy team.. and while on paper this sounds really fun, I was over the game after playing for only about 2 hours.. its just wasn’t all the fun for me.. sure this is a stealth game, but all of that goes out the window the minute the extraction process begins… and the combat here just isn’t fun… it feels button mashy and luck based, you never feel accomplished fighting **** of enemies because htat rarely ever happens, its more likely youll take out one or 2 and the third will come from behind to get you… leading to a loop of respawn, reclaim spawn points for your team to be closer to the chest, and hope you can create large enough time window to be the team to finally get the extraction…
I did have a bit of fun here and there, and you do level up each individual charcter to unlock new perks and cosmetics which I appreciate, really giving you incetive to master each class… but the gameplay just wasn’t there for me to care to do so… games feel like a bit of a mess, especially if youre playing with randoms without a mic.
I do see potential for stealth lovers to sink their time into this game, but hood outlaws and legends just wasn’t for me.

The crossplay function is heavily advertised, but you can't invite friends from other consoles and can only play with random people.
I have heard and read from many people that they only bought this game because of Xbox and Playstation crossplay and ended up playing alone.

Maps and characters are interesting. But this game is completely dragged down by its game mode. I was expecting the game was about stealth, tactics and flanking. but all matchs turn into an uninspired brawl game around the chest or the winch. People spawning endlessly till the end of the anticlimactic winching **** there is a game underneath...Hope it can be quickly saved by a new mode favouring tactical/stealth play

Overrall fantastic concept **** and was really interested reading the description of what the game was advertised as. Unfortunately, it was a major let-down.
Let’s talk the general incentive of the game is to steal the treasure for the people using the necessary teamwork of taking down npc enemies, opening routes of passage for your teammates, challenging the enemy team, and using your two measily abilities to fight.
This game is essentially just team death match with bonus objectives that no one really does because once you see an opposing player, that’s who you’re going to go after. By the way, don’t even think of going head on with the enemy team without your teammates nearby. This game’s 1v1’s try to pull off a ‘For Honor’ move, but fail horribly when the moment you engage in a 1v1, another enemy comes up to assassinate you. There’s no escaping that situation unless your teammates interrupt the event, but in my experience, they never really did that. Sometimes you’ll find actual people who communicate well and have great strategies, but it’s quickly overrun by busted melee characters such as our friends Tooke and John. Once you enter Tooke’s little bubble, his weapon follows you around like a fish trying to eat bait and it deals MAJOR damage. John can endlessly spam his light attack when in his power, making going against him essentially useless. Oh wait! Don’t forget you can just go up behind him and assassinate him. Teamwork makes the dream work!
Combat is incredibly clunky and the game settings are next to nothing. There needs to be added sensitivity in the game because I feel like I’m playing on Resident Evil sensitivity. The controls are also clunky when guarding really not working half the time or you just get 1 shot by Robin’s arrows.
I admit I wasn’t great at the game, but I also wasn’t horrible at the game. This game’s concept is good, but it plays the opposite of how it should. I don’t recommend this.
