It is rare when I find a game that tries to capture real people and nails it so well. Every aspect of Life is Strange: True Colors — from the dialogue to the characters to the paths they took — is real and vivid, and I fell in love with all of it almost immediately. If the ending doesn’t get people talking for the next several months, we’ve failed as a society because the entire final two chapters were impossible to look and walk away from. The game is an absolute gem and shouldn’t be overlooked.

When Alex experiences joy for the first time, a warm golden glow emanates from the characters, sparkling and twisting into the laughter-filled air. Life Is Strange: True Colors fills my heart with the same sensation. Then breaks it in the most bittersweet way I could imagine. Alex’s story is a colourful tapestry, stitched together with the gossamer thread of what it means to be human. It’s a glimmering, supernatural journey that reminds you life really is… weird.

The end result is a remarkable, powerful game. Life is Strange: True Colors stays true to the series’ roots, using supernatural twists and an underlying mystery as the backdrop for a story that’s focused on the quiet beauty of everyday life and the connections that form between people. Within that, it carves its own path with a moving exploration of the power of empathy and the importance of finding a place to call home.

Life is Strange: True Colors is the largest and most ambitious chapter in the Square-Enix series, but it does not reach the narrative depth of the previous chapters.

Life is Strange: True Colors is a complete title that will take around nine to ten hours to finish. This might prove a bit steep for the price, but the pacing and character work do well to make this story worth the time. The colourful visuals compliment Alex's power, but there are a few rough patches along the way. Despite the soundtrack of original and licensed songs blending into the world, the Live Stream mode is half baked and should be revisited in the future because as a shared experience; this game shines with complexion.

Life is Strange: True Colors presents a tale of empathy as you witness a town struggle to deal with a tragic event. I enjoyed my time in Haven, especially when seeing the world through the eyes of different characters and the ending presented an interesting twist. However, it's all over quickly and the mystery-solving portion is lackluster but it's an ultimately rewarding experience.

True Colors doesn’t show the world in a new light so much as it slaps an Instagram filter over it.

Not a good game, but a special one.

The story does not have too much to offer, it's simple, not very complicated, the choices do not matter a lot. This game does not compare to the original LIS, but it's way better than the second one. As a comparison the first game being the largest black hole in the universe this is just an ant and the second one a grain of sand.

It's an example of how good music can make a game that is not as well thought in the matter of storytelling and mechanics, to be good. If the game didn't have the awesome soundtrack it would be a 4/10, not an 8/10. The soundtrack is awesome, the zen moments are an awesome idea, a thing that I was doing since I started gaming it's now supported and encouraged by developers. I found myself sit 15 minutes or more in a zen moment just watching the beautiful graphics and feeling the song.

But still, the soundtrack isn't as good as the first game, but it's still very good. But I was expecting way more, given that Alex is intro music. And music being the central theme that revolves through the game. In the first game that was the photography and in the second drawing. So I think we deserved more attention to the music. We received less music than in the first game.

For the story, I don't know how you can miss this bad, with the background being so perfect, lonely, and peaceful town, Alex the protagonist that is a newcomer and is awaiting to see the mysteries that the town can offer. It could be much better, anyone can think of something better. So I must assume that they did that on purpose, the story is so simple on purpose, like a manifest that things aren't always so complicated and complex. I respect the writers' decision, the game didn't make me burst into tears like in the first list, but it didn't make me wish that it ends faster like the second one.

The graphics are awesome, the eyes of the characters are so cool, like how the move, respecting the classic lis art style, is so beautiful. The town the Main Street, the road, omg just fills you with an ease and peaceful emotion.

Another thing that I noticed, playing this on the ps5. Is the dualsense missed opportunities. The game has dual sense support, but it's not there in all of the cases that it could be. I mean it isn't hard to feel on a playthrough where that feedback is missing and you are wondering why so easy to find those spots.

I think biggest the problem with this game is that the first one exists, the game is worth playing and buying, one of the best games of this year, but when you compare it with Life Is Strange, the original, you even can't compare, the masterpiece of gaming and storytelling it's hella light-years away from True Colors.

As a fan of the series and previous entries, I expected something better but ended up in a disappointment.
The game is too short, it’s only 8-9 hours doing side quest and finding the collectibles. I think it’s not worth the full 60 dollars being that short.
Story was so bland and light compared to LIS 2, or even the first one. LIS 2 had a lot of tension and intersting moments to remember, but not this one.

Storytelling, voice acting, animations are good as usual, that’s why I’m rating it a 6.
It’s a shame because it could’ve been much better. I think it was a mistake to drop the old system of selli h chapters separately, since each chapter could last 3 hours.
