    While there’s been no content added to either the PlayStation or Xbox versions, you’ll still have plenty to do here. There’s the main questline to engage with that’ll take you through multiple monster quest tiers, which is somewhat short compared to other Monster Hunter titles. But the online hub quests expand that out even further, offering up more story content that goes beyond the end credits of the game, and has a number of challenging fights for experienced hunters. There’s also a whole host of free downloadable quests to engage with, encompassing the free DLC that’s come out on prior versions of the game. All in all, you’ll be able to spend a lot of time exploring and hunting down giant monsters, which is pretty much what you want out of a new Monster Hunter game.

    Monster Hunter Rise comes to new generation platforms with a version that promises to be the definitive one. Despite extensive visual enhancements, the game would have benefited from crossplay with no platform limitations and the Sunbreak expansion.

    Regardless of which version is played, though, the same thing holds true in 2023 that was evident a few years ago: Monster Hunter Rise is an excellent, massive game, and should be experienced by anyone with even a slight fondness for action-RPGs or monster hunting genres.

    Monster Hunter’s return to PlayStation (and Xbox) is a very smooth transition. The game performs perfectly and gives more players the opportunity to head to Kamura Village for another awe inspiring adventure.

    Monster Hunter Rise distills the fun of boss fights into an entire game, and it excels at doing so. While it is good in single-player, the best experience is found online playing with fellow hunters. Despite not adequately holding the player's hand in regard to its ancillary systems, Rise never gets in its own way, and offers a fun experience for both casual players looking for short bursts of fun, as well as the more hardcore looking for a time sink.

It's not as detailed as World/Iceborne but it's just as fun to play, with a ton of monsters to hunt. The new wirebugs feature and doggy pet makes your hunter move around like never before.     I have been a fan of the Monster Hunter series since 3DS. I loved MH World, but this one even though with worse textures because it is a portI have been a fan of the Monster Hunter series since 3DS. I loved MH World, but this one even though with worse textures because it is a port from Switch, It made some changes that make gameplay a lot better like the Wirebugs and the Palamutes.     Good gane. Yes this is switch port so you will not see Horizon graphiks. Gameplay is good, watch some not sponsored youtube reviews.

    Graphics aren't great. Gameplay is meh. Not as good as the last one. This one doesn't pass for me.

    Enemies are just too hard.
    The action is too slow and unexhilarating.
    Weapon sharpness gauges are a hindrance. Collecting materials is work.
