Overall, Riders Republic is a fantastic game and the most addictive extreme sports game on the market outside of maybe the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 remake. The variety of sports enables the experience to remain fresh, while those wanting a greater challenge can enjoy more events faster by stepping their game up and going for a more all-encompassing experience with more tricks and tougher difficulty. Cross-generation buyers will be in for a far better experience on the PS5 thanks to the SSD speeding things up and making for a much smoother experience, but the PS4 version is impressive given the tech. If it wasn’t for the SSD’s speed, the feeling of both versions’ races would be quite similar and you can’t go wrong with any version.

Riders Republic is a truly massive extreme sports game that borrows from Ubisoft's better open world pillars. A variety of events and the ability to play against massive servers in a gorgeous sandbox provide a unique thrill that few games manage.

If you can ignore the game’s obnoxious attitude and in your face corporate sponsorship, you’re richly rewarded with accessible, consistently engaging representations of biking, snow sports, and wing suiting, coupled with a massive and literally awesome environment in which to compete or explore. Those that are into riding the leaderboards–or just playing with their friends–will have plenty of opportunities to fuel their addiction, but I’m guessing that just about everyone can find joy here in just goofing around in this expansive playground, at least for a while. Whether or not Riders Republic sticks the landing and stays in the playlist of many gamers beyond launch probably depends on a steady stream of new sports to try, and if an actual, thriving community pledges allegiance to the Republic’s competitive modes.

If you can get past all the posturing and over-the-top woo-hooing, Riders Republic is a very good extreme sports game.

Arcadic extreme sports game with a focus on multiplayer events that gives sports fans exactly what it should: fun in competition with over-the-top tricks.

It’s not every day that we get an extreme sports game, particularly one on this scale.

Riders Republic is a buffet of breathtaking sights and catchy sounds, but it’s bogged down by checklists and grinds.

The way they captured the feeling of ripping down a hill in first person on a bike is second to none. All sports are fast fun and challenging in their own way. They have so many challenges, technical challenges and things to find in this game. You don't even have to compete to enjoy playing this, though of you do compete they throw constant rewards your way. The game is not pay to win, Only pay to look cooler if you want that. All progression of your character is set through competing in challenges/ competitions. Don't get me wrong, it has some minor things that aren't prefect but this game certainly deserves a 10. Expand

The sense of speed you have when you drive your bike down a hill with multiple people all around you is so awesome. The map is giant but never feels empty. So much to discover and do.

Moving around does not get boring because you can always change up how you move and the natural vistas are beautiful.

Only downside are the dialogues but just ignore those and you will have an amazing time.

Hope this game will get a large community and will get supported for many years with more events, outfits and perhaps even more sports (skateboard for instance). Best purchase I made this year. Highly recommended.

The game is very good, and the map is huge, but I think it could add more events.

As a veteran steep player (got the Platin trophy), I must say it's a fun game. During the trial week I stopped playing after just 15 minutesAs a veteran steep player (got the Platin trophy), I must say it's a fun game. During the trial week I stopped playing after just 15 minutes because of how bad the controls felt.noe I still bought RR and discovered that you can change the controls to steep mode. This changed my gaming experience and I am genuinely enjoying RR now.

The graphics aren't good. The snow is texture is better in steep which is nearly 5 years older. There are many small glitches leading to weird interactions with the terrain.

The game doesn't feel finished to me and I really hope that a polish will be implemented soon.

Don't buy the Ultimate edition, it's not worth it.

Controls and the rules ruin this experience. Missing a checkpoint will result in you losing no matter what. Colliding with anyone can resultControls and the rules ruin this experience. Missing a checkpoint will result in you losing no matter what. Colliding with anyone can result in you never seeing 1st place. Mass race is an absolute joke. Winning is based purely on luck or hackers. Tricks battle is a joke. Two maps, and if you understand how it works, winning is literally the easiest thing to do. It's stale and boring. Move on, you're better off playing something like Skate. Expand
