Second half of the game was definitely better, more interesting and more engaging. Overall I liked it. Slow start, some very minor bugs and not enough surprises in my opinion. Other than that, it was a good game.

It was an average game. Low excitement. A bit long and boring. Better action and horror numbers should be made

I finished the game and 3 people survived. But I didn't enjoy the game at all. But before that I played The Quarry and enjoyed it. The problem is that if you want to get the "best ending" the game will become boring. But once you get the "worst ending", there you will experience some exciting moments. So I couldn't finish the game at the best end, but it's still not bad. However, as in allI finished the game and 3 people survived. But I didn't enjoy the game at all. However, as in all other horror games, a man follows you and you resist him. And man doesn't care and is approaching you with calm steps. Very boring. Because we had the opportunity to attack this man at least 3 times, but the game did not offer it to us. Expand

The worst, buggiest release in the series, I do not recommend it full price, played it co-op and it was a fun breaker right now. Cinematics going suddenly with chars teleporting in other areas. It's just a bad experience.

The most important thing in interactive cinema is the plot and the atmosphere. Work on the technical part so that in your ****ing game there is no such thing that the translation constantly disappears, the characters constantly keep back words. Make sure that the textures do not pass through each other, so that there are characters in the mirror, but no ****ing soap. Because of this ****ing gameplay, you constantly do not understand where to go, what to press. This is the difference between interactive cinema and action-adventure - in interactive cinema there should be a MINIMUM of gameplay and a maximum of plot and choices.

And, yes, the ending and explanation of the plot were not part of the deal, which is why you need to deduct 5 points as well

the Dark Pictures best game to date. An excellent story .with some good jump scares. i personally didnt experience any bugs on ps5. the only negatives i can say are that the new tool mechanics are just sort of gimmiks that really serve no purpose, they really just complicate redundant tasks, but the sprint feature is nice, Lets see skippable cutscenes in the next game, for those who havethe Dark Pictures best game to date. Okay entry to a series regularly suffering from technical issues and slightly goofy storytelling

Introduction is very slow and the villan is probably the weakest in the story so far. Also the game more than ever feels like the devs are experimenting with mechanics, there is a massive amount of little things to remember which adds very little to the game itself However I will say

I don’t know where to start. The game is from the beginning full of bugs and graphical glitches, not to forget about the creepy faces of the characters. I played the whole game in coop with a friend and we both had several problems, probably around 5 game breaking bugs which forced us to restart the game. The controls are so bad that 2 characters only died because of the poor design of it. The story is pretty basic saw-alike with a little bit of scream in it. There were many laughs for us as the game is more of an trash horror movie than a creepy one. You can’t expect much from this franchise but this is probably the worst Game of the Anthology followed by Little Hope. The game feels rushed as it has so many bugs, weird animations and bad controls that it just feels unfinished. It was still fun to play in coop because you can laugh at how bad the game is so I’ll give it an solid 6, buy it for 20$ and you’ll have some fun 7 hours with your friend/s. Expand

Sin ser el mejor juego de Supermassive es un buen capitulo de su antología que llevan sacando con varios juegos. La historia de asesino en serie es muy entretenida, aunque llena de clichés.

This game is the worst looking, the worst acted, the worst playing game in the series. Where to even begin.

Maybe this can be fixed with updates, but this game just feels rushed and like it had no quality assurance done on it. I expected alot more from supermassive

The game also feels bloated and overlong and with still no way of skipping cutscenes or lines of dialogue, even on additional playthroughs. This makes delving back in to make different choices or to complete achievements less desirable overall.

I did enjoy the game but there is a lot of room for improvement.

Is it perfect? No. Is it a game of the year contender? No. Does it hold up as a Dark Pictures Anthology game? Absolutely! I haven’t come across the game breaking glitches that seemed to have plagued this game, but I have seen them though others play throughs, and it is understandable that if it happens you would rate the game lower. Getting into gameplay, Supermasive introduces us to a few new mechanics, such as running, jumping, climbing, moving objects, and an inventory system. All of these mechanics work. The moving of objects are not used the best. Glitches aside I still think this is one of the better looking games. The sense of mystery intertwined in horror show here, but at times the pace doesn’t match the rest of the game. The story told is overall realistic, as there is a human element. The HH Holmes copycat element makes sense, although it was not 100% clear as to the motive. As far as Dark Pictures Anthology games go, this was a great game to end the season. I really hope they patch the issues that have seem to make the game unplayable for some. Expand

The Devil in Me gives us more of the compilation's typical gameplay. However, its visual aspect feels neglected, and its story takes several hours to start.

By tentatively introducing new concepts, The Devil In Me at least sets up an exciting cliffhanger for a second two, where we hope to see their potential fulfilled. [Issue#380, p.118]

While there’s not enough here to convince QTE sceptics, there’s life in it yet thanks to a cast you’ll want to root for and some welcome gameplay additions. [Issue#22, p.82]
