What if these bloodthirsty predators lived hidden among us, meticulously and skilfully hatching ancient conspiracies? And what if you became one of them? In Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong, you play as these alluring monsters in a sophisticated world where the lines between the real and supernatural are always blurred.

Hazel Iversen, the Swan, is the new Prince of the Boston Camarilla. An iron hand in a velvet glove, she intends to assert her power and respect the Masquerade, the vampiric law designed to ensure humans never learn of the existence of these creatures of the night. But nothing works as planned. With rumours of plots, murders and power struggles, you must work in the shadows to protect your Sect in a frantic investigation that plunges Boston into chaos.

Play as 3 vampires who are over a hundred years old. Progress through the game through their intertwined destinies, deal with their different points of view and use their character sheets to try to separate the truth from the lies. Each character has their own abilities and vampiric disciplines that you can upgrade individually to suit your preferred approach.
Will you choose intimidation, seduction or stealth? It's your decision, as long as you can sate your Hunger for blood.

With its unique approach to gameplay, Swansong puts emphasis on the consequences of your actions in both the investigation and your social interactions with characters. Analyse each situation carefully because your decisions can have huge consequences on your heroes' lives and the fate of the Boston Camarilla.

As a narrative adventure, Swansong delivers a good balance of exploration, character development, narrative decisions, puzzles and investigation. And as a board game adaptation, it is perhaps the most faithful game to Vampire: The Masquerade and a proof that video games can also adapt much more than the combat system of a pen and paper role-playing games.

Vampire: The Masquerade Swansong is nonetheless a good attempt to capture the mechanical essence and purpose of the pen-and-paper game. The developers could have made a stat-heavy action thing, or followed a bunch of other games and thrown players into a generic open-world that barely resembles or is relevant to the base material. They didn’t, and the game is better for it. Swansong comes across as a timid vampire story – the kind of thing a first-time game master might right for a first-time tabletop group, but timid as it might be, you are left under no illusions that you’re playing a game of Vampire: The Masquerade.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is a dialogue and story-driven experience with a side of detective to help push it all along. The gameplay was spot-on what you should expect from an in-person Vampire: The Masquerade session, but it may not be for everyone. If you’re looking for something more action-oriented, then this may not be your cup of tea.

Vampire the Masquerade Swansong is a top-tier narrative-focused adventure set in the World of Darkness that offers complex characters and a fascinating world. However, performance issues on PS5 mar what could have been a sublime experience.

A solid classic RPG that doesn’t really do anything outstanding, but enjoyable if you like the universe.

Vampire The Masquerade Swansong sticks to the source material very closely, adding very little to distinguish itself from many other adventure games, except for some bugs and inconsistencies. Only suited for long time World of Darkness fans.

A complex, vampire-centric role-playing game where conversations replace violence, but whose boring puzzles and undercooked script suggest its budget didn’t stretch nearly as far as its ambitions.

It's tough at begging with all the skills and disciplines, very chaotic for new player. Visually it's pleasing, music is nice as well. Story has its slow downs but it's satisfying and definitely worthy of replaying with different outcome. Game definitely for genre or vampire® fans. Expand

This game is both beautiful graphics wise and story wise, it was exactly what I needed, an amazing game to delve deep into. It has seriously sucked me so much in, that I've ended spending hours and hours into the night playing this game. Do yourself a favor and not pay attention to any of these reviews, play the game for yourself and judge, that always the best thing to do. My opinion is though that it's an absolutely fantastic game. While you have three characters to play as throughout the story, only the Malkavian, Leysha, has a somewhat engaging story and made me curiousWhile you have three characters to play as throughout the story, only the Malkavian, Leysha, has a somewhat engaging story and made me curious where it was going. The other two characters are way too bland, and they lost my interest fairly early. Though, each has unique ways to approach their objective and it alters your gamestyle slightly. Sadly, you a forced to play with the vampire they choose, and you can't pick another character for that single mission.

The puzzles can be very obvious to almost impossible to understand at first. Some are clever, while most are unimaginative.

Sadly, with an interesting lore to expand on and with an OK RPG system/idea, it fails to deliver on multiple accounts. While it is interesting to discover new stories in the V:TM-series, its poor gameplay and sometimes tedious objectives stop this from being an engaging experience.

And the ending is lackluster and plain disappointing.

I will just go back to V:TM Bloodlines for now, as that game is still much more compelling and true to its RPG roots.

TheI played the original Vampire The Masquerade Redemption two decades ago which was a awesome title. This however, is a sequel in name only. The writing is atrocious as are the characters. Graphics are serviceable as is the voice acting which ranges from extremely cheesy to average. The gameplay is pretty unbalanced and repetitive. Give this one a pass and rather play Redemption or Bloodlines. Expand
