Escha & Logy actually works as a first point of call for the series. There’s very little assumed knowledge brought over from the first game in the Dusk series (Ayesha), and the systems and mechanics are more user-friendly and accessible.

While Ayesha was a good primer and Shallie was a bit of a disappointment, Atelier Escha & Logy Plus hits that sweet middle spot of giving players everything they could want and surround them with very likeable characters.

Even with those technical flaws, Atelier Escha & Logy Plus is still an RPG well worth experiencing for those who have not had the chance to check out the original. It’s debatable which of the two versions should be considered the “definitive experience”, so I would simply say that you can’t really go wrong with either.

Another PS3-to-Vita port of an already noticeable JRPG adventure from GUST. New improvements and innovations are well received.

A significant amount of new content and a new home on the Vita makes the Plus version of one of the best Atelier games a compelling release for Atelier fans as they await the next release from Gust.

Overall, there’s plenty of value to be had in Atelier Escha and Logy Plus: Alchemists of the Dark Sky. It just takes quite a bit of time to maintain your patience with the heavy dialogue, bland visuals and a generally boring story.

There are countless fun, modern JRPG experiences to be had on the Vita, making this an entirely expendable game.

And trust me on this for someone who doesn't play a lot of JRPG, this game drew me in at my surprise! The gameplay, the characters, the story, the music, the graphics and the plot are such a masterpiece! And don't get me started on the combat. The combat is top notch and the animations are beautifully done. This was my first Atelier game and I don't regret picking it up. For newcomers and veterans alike buy this because you will not be disappointed. This game has made me download all the other Atelier games because I just realized I was missing a lot on this amazing game franchise! And oh Escha and Logy have a relationship in this one and it is so cute XD Expand

The reason I chose to play this first is because this is the only atelier game than has two protagonist a female and a male. This has a very tedious process of grinding I mean really. But I guess that's what you would expect on a JRPG regardless I was able to platinum the game. Because I always look forward to getting the strongest Item or equips but after seeing the guy making a 1 million plus damage made me think I was not playing the same game with that guy.

I chose Logy's story first of course and it was somewhat good nothing bad nothing great the only part of the story that I like are shipping the two protagonist. it was the only reason on playing the new game plus so I can get the other ending.

After seeing the other atelier games that came after this I wouldn't hope for another game with a female and male protagonist. But I am currently trying Rorona right now because other than shiopping the two protagonist I did like the part when I got the strongest equips and items. Thank you GameFaq because of you I enjoyed the game. thank you also to the people who contributed on the guides.

All in all I I liked the game it's just tedious but very satisfying after that.
