While their personalities and appearance are drastically different, both girls share the nickname "Shallie." Shallistera is the daughter of a tribal leader who embarks on a voyage to find a solution to the crisis affecting her homeland. Shallotte, on the other hand, has been struggling to bring success to the alchemy workshop since the passing of her father. Uncover each of their journeys using the dual main character system, which has been improved with multiple separate stories and endings for Shallistera and Shallotte. Expand

It’s more a concession to the fans who bought the first two on the Vita than anything else, I suspect, and I’d be surprised if Koei expected this to make any kind of money, but it is a good gesture by the company to allow us to finish our collection for Atelier games on the go.

Atelier Shallie Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea is a remake of the PlayStation 3 exclusive, and finds a fantastic landing spot on the PlayStation Vita with all new secrets and content to explore. The game is easy to learn, fun and well paced, and provides a nice mix of JRPG exploration and battles with an item creation system that serves as the series signature. Colorful, well designed, and only slightly stilted, Atelier Shallie Plus is another great title in the Atelier line.

A technically inferior version of the original Atelier Shallie, but its narrative additions are worth seeking out for hardcore fans.

Atelier Shallie Plus is a great way to end the Dusk trilogy in the Atelier franchise and suffers from the usual Atelier on Vita problems while still charming me over.

Atelier Shallie Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea is a pretty shoddy port, but the game itself is a charming, arresting adventure with loads of content and depth.

Atelier Shallie Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea changes the formula for the better but still hasn’t got the ingredients quite right. With the time limit gone the other elements have space to breathe but the story and characters are weak meaning the driving force is reliant on the gameplay which thankfully is varied and enjoyable.

Atelier Shallie Plus adds not enough new content to recommend this version over the PS3 original, even because the new platform brings also new problems, such as empty environments and a choppy framerate. Not bad if you're a fan of the series, but in this case you've probably already played this game three years ago.

The characters are also more interesting & good looking compared to those hyperactive anime schoolkids cliché from Mana Khemia. A solid 10/10.

Great Alchemy and Combat System Awesome Characters - includes Escha and Logy Great Story and Content No time
    Pros:
    Great intro Opening
    Great Alchemy and Combat System
Awesome Characters - includes Escha and Logy
    Great Story and Content
    No time limit, no deadlines
Decent graphics for a handheld but room for improvement
Manages to keep you pretty hooked end game
    Nice DLC and BGM DLC

    Cons
Steep price - It was $53.49
NPCs were too lifeless and static
No Doll System like Atelier Sophie
No environmental Day - Night Cycle like Atelier Sophie
A bit of frame rate issues but barely noticeable
A serious lack of costumes for secondary characters

Overall I don't regret buying it at all however I will definitely make sure the next Atelier I buy will have all my specifications for that kind of price point. You hear me Gust and Koei thanks for the great game but I'd like a fully customizable automaton I can craft in the Atelier that I can add a party member for combat, and environmental cycles, more lively NPCs, more costumes for side characters. And then yeah I'll throw more money at you. I will be among the firsts to buy it.

    Keep up the good work.

I don't hate the girl to girl love or anything like that. It's just that they try to hide it and wouldn't just go for it. Aside from that the music is always a A+ I really like the stellard theme. I got that FF X Besaid island theme it was awesome.

Gameplay on the other hand. The way this time they make you get all the ultimate items is much more troublesome. and really luck based I hate those kind of things ..

    I wanted to stop....

    But I can't...

    I ask myself Why..

The only answer was because of the walk through I saw...

I saw the ingredients on how to get the ultimate..

    I wanted it...

    I yearned for it...

    I needed it..

anyways... All in all it is a good game. I would recommend this to atelier fans.

Also about the filter and sorting of all properties they didn't even bother to alphabetize it. Like the hell it was a huge pain trying to find the property on your storage list that you wanted.
