They say you can't improve on perfection, yet Steins;Gate 0 does just that. Taking what made the original story so great and adding new characters and a much darker theme makes Steins;Gate 0 the perfect continuation to a story that I though could not be improved upon - how wrong I was!

A worthy follow up to Steins;Gate that even surpasses it in many aspects, while delivering a gripping story through multiple endings.

Steins;Gate 0 will not disappoint those close to the franchise. However, that being said, this will require a certain understanding of the previous game and the various endings that the game had. One would truly be lost jumping into this game without at least watching the anime series.

Steins;Gate 0 has just one fault, which is that you need to play the first game in the series to fully appreciate the story, the character progression, the new twist on some of the protagonists. Apart from this, we're talking about one of the best script in recent memory, and a high quality visual novel for both Vita and Ps4 owners.

Steins;Gate 0 is a great game with one glaring flaw: gratuitous filler. It's tough to rate games like these because nuances aren't easily conveyed in a numerical score. The core components are good to great, but the overall package is bogged down by unnecessary content and the game feels longer than it should.

This is a worthwhile follow up, and Steins;Gate fans will have to snap up and experience this right now. It upholds what its predecessor did and retains the fantastic writing, beautiful art and its many layered storytelling that will have anyone who jumps into this talking about it well after the 40 hours needed to finish it, making it an essential purchase for visual novel enthusiasts.

With an intense and intriguing narrative, Steins;Gate 0 is a joy to play through though too many times the story slows down for sometime much more mundane. Without knowledge of the characters or larger plot of previous games, you may struggle to get the full experience.

S;G 0 is absolutely amazing visual novel in every way. I really loved original S;G and was waiting for really long time for this. S;G 0 is definitely at least as good as the first game. Art style is very similar to previous one, I would say it looks even a little bit better than in S;G. I was really curious about the story of S;G 0 and I have to say the story is incredibly good. Its setting is more darker and more serious than in first game. The game is way more adult than first S;G was. So yea it is different but still masterpiece. I would really recommend this one for every one. Definitely best VN and best PS VITA game!

This game shows a big turn of event and a dark turn for the main character. Also in additional of the MC decision, there are new characters that are introduced into this series which were some of them were mentioned before in the original game and the anime series has finally been revealed in this game, as of that we will get to see how things are mixed up and how it connects with the original series and it is connected to one of another time line, this game will totally mess you up with their stories, and that's the steins gate charm baby!...On the side note, In order for those who are new to this series, Please play the first game or if you lazy enough, go watch the the anime (24 ep),ova (1 ep) and their official movie to understand this whole cluster F**k of this second game. anyways i loved it and for me it has its replay value alright with their alternate endings!! First of all: You have to play the first Steins;Gate to be able to understand this one.
And second of all: Don't go to this one expecting a heavy time travel story like the last.
This is the story of a broken Okabe. Right when you start the novel, you know something is wrong. This is not the cheerful "good-ending-esc" time line where you finished in the first Steins;Gate. Here, Okarin gave up. He didn't go into the time machine again. He couldn't find himself the courage to try and risk to see himself doing the things he did again. And this is the story of how he's forced to go back or deal with the consequences.
The novel's darker tone was a perfectly match and was what sold me in, but it didn't go full depressive as I thought it would. They came back with the same type of humor, but a little more fitting to the situation the characters are into. But, aside from that, the whole game would be a 11/10, like the first one, but then came it's main issue.
Unlike the first game, some of the multiple endings have a kind of progression among them, in order to build a closed story in the end. But there's where it kinda failed. The game's ending (no spoilers) try to close the saga and leave open gaps for sequels and it didn't go very right. It was like everything built up to that point was forced into the script to create an ending. It mad sense in context, but still was a bummer.
But, everything considered, it was still a must-play game for VN fans. It has a much better multiple endings mechanic with Amadeus, and it's darker tone came perfectly with Mamoru Miyano's voice acting as Okabe. It may not be the masterpiece that the original was, but it's still a must-own, specially on the Vita's gorgeous screen.
    A solid 9.6/10.

I'm not really the type to sit down with this on a game console, but after watching the anime from start to finish for about 2 weeks ago I thought, "screw it, I need to watch the next volume". After reading about the movie, and Episode 0 of the anime, I decided to just jump into Stein;s Gate 0 since it was basically just out the gate (heh) and people had spoken warmly about the last visual novel.

As a conclusion I can say without a doubt that if you'd just finished the anime, and took that route, then this game works really well. I can't speak for other's viewpoints and angels of entry, but for me this just turned out to be a very satisfying adventure. I also finished all 6 endings, and without spoiling any of them, I could say that I found it fascinating that the totality of them would (and could in theory) make up 1 big story larger than the initial true ending.

The only thing I really miss is an "after days" episodes of Kirusu and Rintarou. I somehow will expect them to promise having children together in multiple timelines and the Stein;s Gate's Kirusu to hate all her other Kirusus for making such an unfair democratic decision (so irrational). However, from the way this series is going, I guess I can expect some juicy new adventures on that topic in Stein;s Gate 2: Beyond the Gate (name subject to change).

    FWUAHAHAHAHA!

The sequel of the fantastic visual novel that still felt fresh and a good sequel, not a plain fanfiction. Worth it.
