Back to that flat expanse, that seemingly endless sea of rustling cornstalks peppered by rusty silos and rustier towns. A typically intense Midwestern storm is approaching while Kelly is out; she has to get home. In the 20 miles between her grandparents' crumbling barn and her parents' house, she receives a phone call from her mother. Assume the role of Kelly during her drive through the storm in Three Fourths Home: Extended Edition. While driving through a stylized representation of rural Nebraska, players navigate an extended conversation between Kelly and her parents and younger brother. Through dialogue choice and simple driving mechanics, this critically-acclaimed visual short story explores a specific moment of these characters' lives and their relationships with one another. The Extended Edition of Three Fourths Home includes an epilogue that expands on the story of the main game. Set at a bus stop in snowy Minnesota, this epilogue examines Kelly's past as well as the effects that the events of the main story have had on her. Expand

Of course, I still maintain that you'll only want to play Three Fourths Home once. But believe me, that one time is totally worth it, with every aspect of the game being done so well.

Highly atmospheric, beautiful, and smart in the way it engages the player, it’s the kind of independent game that can only ever hope to find a niche audience because it never meets the mainstream expectations of what a game should offer. But for those that do discover it, it’s yet another clear example of the emerging arthouse game development scene; games designed first and foremost as works of art, and piece of entertainment for consumption second (if that factors into consideration at the developer’s end at all, that is).

Three Fourths Home: Extended Edition is one of the most unique and incredible experiences I've ever had on the PlayStation Vita, it may be incredibly short, but at the same time it never overstays it's welcome, absolutely astounding.

Three Fourths Home is practically over before it begins, but the themes, characterisation and narrative direction will haunt you for a long time afterwards.

I'm 100% sure this game is spectacular to many people but playing through it I just don't get it. If there was an incredible deeper meaningI'm 100% sure this game is spectacular to many people but playing through it I just don't get it. If there was an incredible deeper meaning behind the dialogue it's lost on me. I'm giving this game Mixed more than I'm assigning a number. It's not terrible but I don't get it. Expand
