Oct 28, 2016I’m awful at playing horror games, and I’m always too scared to make any real progress. Yomawari creates a great atmosphere of tension and terror that rarely relies on cheap scares, and it was the perfect formula to keep me hooked until the end. If you’re looking for a good alternate horror game, look no further.

Nov 1, 2016Don't let the cuteness fool you, Yomawari: Night Alone is a creepy horror game which will make you jump! The game preys on all the fears you had as a child, with ghosts standing under flickering streetlamps and arms grabbing at you through manhole covers. It's not particularly long but I'd still recommend people give it a go for the unique atmosphere and interesting story.

Nov 8, 2016Yomawari Night Alone can be seen as a simple game experience but inside its gameplay it has a quite interesting survival horror game from the point of view of a girl in search of her big sister and dog. With a simple but also great setting, not just in graphics but also in sound, this game makes for a quite remarkable experience from the beginning to the end.

Oct 24, 2016Yomawari: Night Out is the definition of survival horror, trapped with nothing to defend yourself with against horrors that await around every corner. Yomawari may be light on jump scares but the creatures, sound design, and atmosphere is enough to creep anyone out.
-
Oct 28, 2016Billed as a horror game, Yomawari: Night Alone ultimately feels like it falls more on the side of tragedy. Sure, it has its jump scares which can get the blood racing, but the town and its supernatural inhabitants just feel a little too charming to be considered a real threat.
-
Oct 19, 2016Yomawari: Night Alone is a "cute survival horror" with a classic structure, a little bit of backtracking and a helpless character that must overcome her fears. Despite the unique design, it has some frustrating moments and a weak plot.
-
Nov 30, 2016I would still recommend Yomawari: Night Alone to any horror fans simply on the basis of it being unique, but if that’s not what you’re looking for and nothing short of a terror-inducing masterpiece will do, I’m afraid it’s back to Silent Hill 2. Until we do get that next genre-defining horror gem, Yomawari is a nice distraction that will hopefully be worked on to bring us something even more sinister and satisfying in the future.
