  • Summary: Konami has gone to great lengths to integrate two- and four-player capability into each of the game's non-season modes, which opens up the possibility of introducing your sports-phobic friends to a soccer game they can actually play.

  1. Incredible, and if you buy one live-action soccer game this year, make it either "ISS Pro Evolution" or ESPN MLS GameNight.
  2. 79
Gamenight improves on Konami's "Pro Evolution" title in most of the problem areas, making it a solid soccer sim for the PSX.
  3. Had Konami not chosen to foolishly peruse an automatic switching control scheme, "ESPN MLS Gamenight" could have snuck into the 'must have' category of a "Virtua Tennis" or a "Fox Soccer '99" (kidding!).
  4. If you're frustrated by simulations, ESPN MLS GameNight is the game for you.
  5. ESPN MLS GameNight is sort of like the result of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman having a little tike of their own, but it comes out looking like your average tree sloth.
