  1. Its simple yet innovative style, deep customization, tongue-in-cheek humor, along with a plethora of game modes makes Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake one of the best titles currently available on the PSP and indeed one of the best transitions from the PS3.
  2. Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake is a splendid take on the PS3 version. The added content and its portability mean fans of the original adorable, medieval strategy game will lap this up.

It's not as intense an experience as on PS3, but still riotous fun and where Fat Princess is at its best. [June 2010, p.99]

Fat Princess is a very funny PlayStation 3 game. It has great gameplay and this has been ported to the PlayStation Portable. A shame is that the AI could have been a lot better. Besides of that, the game has great controls, the audio is good and visually the game is nice. A perfect game for anyone who travels a lot.
  5. It’s definitely worth a look if you’re after something a little outside of the ordinary, and is certainly worthy of at least a cautious recommendation.
  6. Fat Princess is like a fairytale book, which tells the same story over and over again. Fun at the beginning, but it will get boring over time.
  7. What we really wanted, and thought we were getting with Fistful of Cake, was Fat Princess on the PSP with no changes and maybe some extra content. What we were given was a lobotomized version of the original game that saves face in most regards, but disappoints in places that turned out to be a big deal.
