With a growing roster of fighters, each equipped with their own deadly techniques, martial art moves, and attack combinations, Tekken 6 promises to be the best "King of Iron Fist Tournament" yet. Adding to the already rich gaming experience, a deeper character customization feature will only enhance the incredible fighting intensity as players go mano-y-mano. Optimized for the PSP system, Tekken 6 not only contains all the explosive action of its home console brethren but also feature additional stages, content, items, and an ad-hoc multiplayer mode. Fighting amongst friends is encouraged as players can battle wirelessly against each other using original or fan favorite characters. Rounding out its list of impressive features is the return of the Ghost Infrastructure mode, which allows players to upload their "ghost" character data and download others' from the Internet onto their PSP system. When players have reached the height of their Tekken fighting skills, they will be able to see how they stack up against others through the game’s network support. [Namco Bandai Games] Expand

To be frank, Tekken 6 features the most complete and rewarding fighting experience on PSP, and is a must buy for any fan of the genre.

Tekken 6 on the PSP is exactly like the PS3 version of the game, only the scenario mode is missing. The scenario mode on the PS3 version is pretty boring so you don’t miss a lot. The game is a great fighter and it’s got a lot of fighters as well. Great graphics and is perfect for the fans.
  3. The fighting engine remains solid, the graphics look awesome for the system, and the sound and controls are excellent.

A top pocket beat-'em-up in its own right, but a little lacking compared to its predecessor. [Feb 2010, p.73]

Tekken 6 for PSP is a fantastic addition to the already strong lineup of brawlers on Sony’s handheld.
  6. Bigger doesn’t always mean better, as proven by Tekken 6 for the PlayStation Portable. This pocket-sized game impresses more than its console counterpart. It’s quite possibly the best fighting game on the PSP to date. The minor improvements in the game play make the game as a whole more balanced. Only point of critique is the weirdly chosen final boss, but when you look past that, the game is packed with quality.
  7. As with all fighting games, Tekken 6 - just like a certain something else - is fun to mess around with by yourself, but certainly more enjoyable if you can play with someone who knows what they’re doing.

I have Tekken 6 for both the PSP and the PS3 and I can honestly say that the portable version is much better than the console version. The I have Tekken 6 for both the PSP and the PS3 and I can honestly say that the portable version is much better than the console version. The loading times are much better than on the console and what makes this game last longer than the console games is the Ghost Battles. The console versions only let you rank up to 1st dan before playing online but on the PSP you can rank all the way to Tekken God. Its also a great way to practice for online play on the console if you like to win games with skill rather than just spamming the same move over and over again. I am also very impressed with the graphics on this game. There are two new things to the gameplay this time. First is the bound system, which helps you land big combos and there is also the rage mode which make the character more powerful if the health is low. Rage mode makes the Survival mode much trickier than it was on Tekken 5: DR. In my opinion the combos in this game are excellent and they make this game one of the best fighters ever made. There are a few drawbacks on this game. The biggest one is that there is nothing no online play for this and also it would have been better if the Tekken Dojo was brought back from T5:DR. The story mode is also disappointing and it only lasts for 4 matches and don't get me started on the last boss Azazel. Also it would have been great to be able to download ghost players like on T5:DR. I would highly recommend this game because it has a higher reply value than the console version. When it comes down to the actual gameplay I would rate this game higher than any other Tekken I have played. Expand

I'll be honest with you I'm not great with these types of fighting games that require skill and memory to play . I am one of those people whoI'll be honest with you I'm not great with these types of fighting games that require skill and memory to play . I am one of those people who play simple fighters like super smash bros and etc because I found them fun and easy to play. tekken 6 for the psp is the opposite of smash bros . To even be a casual player you must remember somethings about the game like movement and the character your are most comfortable with. you'll even have to learn like a lot about their moves as well. Now this may look and sound pretty hard right? not really. as long if you maybe study moves bit by bit and using these moves to create a chain of combos on both ground or in the air it actually is pretty fun. tekken 6 does something to me in which I want to play even more than smash bros as this game is not boring like smash. I highly recommend this game if you wanna have the really fun fights or you wanna get into the fighting genre maybe even use it as a portable training station for tekken 7 idk but still get this game. And on a side note comparing this to the ps3, xbox 360 and arcade machine I think its a pretty good port as most of the stuff on console came on to the psp most. There are some things that were cut in which I wished they came on the psp ver. some costumes still remained on the console and were not brought on the psp an online function was also cut and instead replaced with a wireless battle system in which you require a friend who also has a psp or even psvita with this game installed in order to play with each other and there's also ghost data I don't really know what this is besides that the fact that you can send your ghost data to somebody. Plus some models do not look well on the psp as some characters might have pretty big eyes compared to the console ver in which I think they look pretty realistic but overall it doesn't effect game play and I still recommend this game on any person Expand

Decent game. I enjoyed the gameplay and fighting mechanics. Its just lacking a main goal that makes it not so rewarding.
