While it isn’t very original, it can be very enjoyable in short bursts. Unfortunately, the camera problems prevent it from being ideal for long-term play, and make extended play sessions very frustrating due to how needlessly hard it is to see what you’re doing thanks to the poorly-placed camera.
Aside from a lack of originality, repetitive levels, and a dull-as doornails storyline and dialog, BottleRocket's game is a relatively solid little game that will satiate your lust for button-mashing brawling.
Xiaolin Showdown has the elements of a good game, but the execution is so sloppy that it ends up falling flat. [Jan. 2007, p.88]
Basically this is a hugely simplified, pointless and weird version of "Power Stone." So get that instead. [Feb 2007, p.78]
Whoever, wherever, whatever you are, there is absolutely zero reason to own this atrocious excuse for a video game.
With such soulless and unplayable mechanics slapped onto an idea that was mediocre at best and marketed to kids via a familiar(ish) licence this represents not only the worst game I've played in a long long time but the most gut wrenchingly cynical example of all that's wrong with the games industry today.
