A retro-feeling throwback to the days of arcade baseball games. It offers simple, basic fun, but the pitching and hitting just doesn't feel robust enough to appeal to anyone other than the most casual of baseball fans.
This game is way better than last years version. The graphics are brighter and the addition of full 25 man rosters along with stat tracking makes the game feel like a real baseball sim. I would definitely recommend this game to any baseball fan with an Xbox one.
I have to say that I am very happy that this game is much better than last years version. This is the game that made me love baseball so many years ago. I have to say that it made my day. This is one of the best baseball games that I have played in a long while
If MLB Advanced Media are serious about keeping baseball alive on non-Sony consoles, they'd better be looking at that game and taking notes (or, failing that, at The Show itself), because as it stands, their efforts just aren't cutting it.
Much improved over last year... really enjoying all the additional options, realistic animations, clean interface. All we really need now is some added camera angles for pitching/batting, and we'll have a combination arcade and sim MLB title!
Glad to see the franchise I started playing 26 years ago is back.
Oh yeah, and the ballparks look INCREDIBLE!
Simple, no-frills and somewhat entertaining. Don't expect much out of the gates with this one, though for a quick fix of your baseball needs, it does the trick. For true die hard fans of baseball though, you may find the apparent lack of nearly everything compared to modern day sports games a true dissapointment. Alas, you get what you pay for, and as of October 2015, this was going free on Xbox Gold. In that regard, one cannot complain much. Certainly not a long-term investment game.
the fielding controls are awful, the hitting while simplistically controlled is terribly executed. the game itself is kind of fun until you hit a moment when you cant get a hit for anything but the computer can destroy a ball. no pitch selection , no tutorial and no explanations it just throws you in the game and gives you very mild and quickly displayed hints at how to play which more often than not never work. graphics are in a word "meh" don't waste your money or hard drive space.
This game a huge waste of money and time spent downloading. The pitchers only last 40 pitches before you need to bring in a reliever. No pitch selection, and the AI can hit any pitch you throw. No way to strategize your pitching or defense. My batter got hit by a pitch and it was called a strike. Not sure what that was about. Fielding is a nightmare a routine pop up will usually turn out to be a double or triple cause it's really difficult to judge where the ball is going. I give 2 points due to the updated rosters nothing more. This game is a complete waste of time and money. Move on and find something else.
This game is the biggest waste of $20 I've ever spent. I would've been better off spending that on a real baseball game. That game would've lasted longer than I will ever play this game in total. The fact that the computer can hit every pitch, yet you can't hit a straight on fastball (good luck with the knuckleball from hell every other pitch) is beyond frustrating. Further, there seems to be no consistency to a flyball (some AI help would be nice on catches)... a routine flyball turns in to a triple because you can't tell where it's going to drop. Not to mention the inability to dive (at least I haven't found control) makes routine ground balls a double for the computer. Overall, just a total flop, but RBI Baseball 15 has XBOX users at its mercy. Any true baseball fan is better off buying nothing or putting out the money to buy a PS4 and MLB The Show.
