It can feel weird going back to the older format after spending hours acclimating yourself to the gameplay of New Creed but neither Black Flag or Rogue feel dated in any way and remain insanely playable to this day. And if that doesn’t sell you, perhaps knowing that the Rebel Collection offers the finest collection of sea shanties this side of the West Indies will have you galavanting over to the Nintendo eShop.
Assassin's Creed: The Rebel Collection provides a lot of gameplay for your money, even though overall Rogue feels a lot like Black Flag reskinned and moved to a new setting from a gameplay perspective. It's easy to recommend The Rebel Collection to action game fans, especially those who want to turn their daily commute into an adventure on the high seas.
Эти части мне очень понравились. Интересный сюжет, геймплей, хороший открытый мир. Мне больше всего понравился черный флаг, а изгой чисто средне. Порт сделан достойно.
If you don’t mind encountering several glitches along the way, then you’re sure to have a blast with Assassin’s Creed: Rebel Collection on Switch – particularly with Black Flag which remains one of the best entries in the Assassin’s Creed series.
With plenty of content to explore, whether on the water or dry land, the sea-based battles remain addictive to this day and the inclusion of all additional content makes this package a wonderful gem for everyone who wants to return to Assassin's Creed or simply try it for the first time.
The Rebel Collection offers two great games that you can enjoy in a new way on Switch, thanks to a single package full of contents that will allow you to experience the journey of four different characters.
This pack is the best way to enjoy Black Flag and Rogue, as both take advantage of all the features of Switch and include their respective DLC. However, we realize that they are titles released a few years ago.
Assassin's Creed: The Rebel Collection for Nintendo Switch significantly undermines visuals for portability; there are better (and cheaper) options for Black Flag and Rogue.
Absolutely excellent game!! There’s so much to do. Battle ships, invade towns and fortresses, hunt whales and hop on islands .. well just amazing. I love this franchise so much. AC is one of the best game franchise of all time. The
This is a strange game to review. It’s so beautiful and so fun. But then, it also just sort of seems tedious and boring. The quests start feeling the same. Sailing around makes you start thinking about assisted suicide. But then it has these friggin beautiful moments.
Both games were quite good. I was not a huge fan of the sailing sequences in the Assassin's Creed games and unfortunately these games are VERY heavy on the sailing. The stealth and combat was a lot of fun. Also some of the best storytelling in the series.
I got the collection for AC4, often touted as the "best" AC game, as my entrypoint into this popular and controversial series. Disappointedly, I found the game very mediocre. It starts off strong enough with a fun chase scene that introduces the player to a lucious, tropical setting in the Carribean and interesting characters. The protagonist, Edward Kenway, is also immediately likeable. But the praise basically stops there. Each cutscene is only around 30 seconds to a minute long, and while the dialogue and voice work is well done for the most part, it leaves the side characters grossly underdeveloped. And the overall story arc is simplistic, predictable and ridiculous and ends abruptly out of the blue.
The missions range from tedious and frustrating tailing missions with unforgiving checkpoints, to killing x amount of enemies, assassinations and naval sections. Each story mission blends into the other, which is in no part helped by the pretty, albeit samey looking open world. The combat in this game is also god awful. Mash y to attack, press a if you see a red exclamation mark above an enemies head, and press b to break an enemies defence. That's it. Its ridiculously superficial. The ship combat is slightly more engaging but quickly becomes repetitive after being forced to farm for resources. Overall I found AC4 boring and soulless and has put me off trying any other games in the series. 4/10.
