Bayonetta 2 is Action video gaming perfected. The game is simply great, with amazing set pieces and a crazy story, but the real highlight of the game is the combat that simply thrives on letting the player figure out the best ways to tackle a fight without holding your hand. With the extra modes and the added bonus of the first game, there is no getting around it – this game is a masterpiece and a must have on the Switch.

Bayonetta 2 on the Nintendo Switch doesn't change the fundamentals: it remains the same exquisite and breathtaking experience as before, delivering an excellent gameplay and insane action, along with the possibility to play this masterpiece anytime. One of the greatest action games of all time justifies its presence once again to all players out there.

Bayonetta 2 for the Nintendo Switch brings a colossal Hack & Slash experience to a portable console for the first time, which can also be enjoyed at home in the living room. A port of a sublime game that could have had more work done on its graphics and gameplay, but that exceeds expectations.

Bayonetta 2 looks and plays better than ever, and somehow surpasses the original. A must have action game.

After four years Bayonetta 2 remains the best action game ever made, maybe less refined in its combat if compared directly to its amazing predecessor, but still brilliant and spectacular like no other in its genre. A pity there's pretty much nothing new in this port.

Bayonetta 2 represents the highest point touched by the action genre, with a superfine and refined gameplay, and a totally out of the box narrative. The Switch version brings small improvements to the technical sector, and enjoys a portability that everyone now craves.

It is the Devil May Cry on steroids. The combos are easy to pull off, but they do take practice. You will be destroying demons in no time with some practice. The story is crazy, but that is fine, it whisk you up with how silly it all is, but there is some deep emotions in the game as well to keep it grounded.
The graphics get a mild upgrade, it is the frame rate that got upgraded the most and it helps. The smoother frame rate helps pull off combos much easier and keeps the action going so you don't lose momentum. Better shadows and lighting do help the atmosphere.
The controls are butter smooth and they don't put too much on the player. You do get some tutorials to help you figure out how to do a lot of the combos, but it wants you to experiment with button pushing and analog pressing. The set pieces are just breathtaking and set a new bench mark for action games.
If you think what you see in COD is amazing, you ain't seen nothing yet. The action pieces on this are simply amazing and will keep blowing you away, even after you have played it over 10 times. Simply put, this is the action masterpiece to get. This game is better than the game that inspired it. DMC, which is saying a lot, but this game is leagues ahead of any action game today, so if you don't have it, get it, and is there enough new content to get it again? Not a whole lot, but the portability aspect alone makes it worth 60 bucks. Get this game now.

The combat system had so many improvements and even more options then the first. This series is truly a must play. Had so much fun with this. Highly recommended for hack-n-slash, action and DMC fans. More like an 8.5

The first game was fun but not that memorable for me, the combat was great and beautiful but the story was more of an excuse for the characters to do things, this game surpasses every aspect not by much but is pretty much the same but better, which is not a bad thing. The game's length is about 12 hours long but feels more like 4, this game doesn't waste its time or yours, the combat is so addictive and the challenge is good on normal difficulty but if you're more sadistic you can try harder difficulties. The sexiness and all that stuff is also there as over the top as ever so that is also a great thing, my only issue is that the music is not that memorable as the last game but is just a personal issue I think, overall I recommend it to every Wii U / Switch owner, as this kind of games are rare threat nowadays.

Dommage.

The story is weir and and funny but everything else is quite plastic. The fights are ridiculously messy and there are lots of moment wheee everything is far too small to see anything. The camera is just too far away from the action. The makers had lots of great ideas but it’s just not interesting to fight in a fighting game. You can do a lot of things like upgrade weapons and this seems to have zero influence on anything. I couldn’t even finish this game. I’m a great fan of God of war series and hoped for something similar. Not really. Twisted plot. Funny characters. Superficial gameplay. Expand
