I didn’t really have any expectations on Beat Cop when I first played it on PC back in 2017. Even two years later now on the Nintendo Switch it manages a quite pleasant surprise playing it. The story is quite addicting and I’m always eager to see what is next or even replay to see what else could have happened. Beat Cop is a pretty decent length as well and should clock in for most somewhere between seven and ten hours. The non-linear story, along with the multiple endings, means there is a good amount of replayability as well. All in all, this is a great homage to 1980’s cop shows that shouldn’t be missed.

The witty writing and unique premise still make Beat Cop a street worth investigating. It has plenty of questions to post on morality (just how far would you push your agenda on the people that look up to you?) but makes it silly and accessible enough to never become too dire. Its a riot, and well worth a routine inspection.

Impose justice or get in the bands, you choose. A wonderful and badass experience with a graphics section that is a delight.

Beat Cop is a game that shines as bright as it can on Nintendo Switch. Sadly, some flaws from the original version still remain and make it difficult to enjoy the game, even though its mechanics and narrative are really good.

Beat Cop is an interesting point and click cop simulator with great humor. The mechanic of the game is interesting in the beginning but does not evolve for later levels. The time concept is neat, but limits the player’s ability to roam and discover more events and things to do.

Beat Cop is a fun and zany action game that puts the player in a cliché 1980s action movie setting and does a fine job at that. Its missions can get confusing and repetitive at certain moments but the game's mechanics and environment are noting short of delightfully funny and are certain to keep the players laughing and enjoying the experience for some time.

Beat Cop is one perp that’s best approached with caution.

I failed to get the ending I wanted but had a great time anyway.

Es interesante y divertido las primeras horas, pero rápidamente se vuelve algo repetitivo y la trama no engancha tanto como debería.

It's tedious writing parking tickets all day and becomes boring fast. Seems to be most of what you do. That, of course, is besides the "riveting" storyline. At first it seems like it's going to be an story you'll be a part of. Trying to crack the case on who is framing you. But really you just get to read how everyone thinks the black people are "darkies" and catching bad guys who just so happen to ALL be black. Woman are little more than sexual objects and writing parking tickets is apparently the most important thing. I'm upset that I wasted my money and time on such a crap game. If the people who made this game thought that having a narrative based on constantly saying the "f" word and making comments about different cultures was something to focus on so intensely, they should have thought about focusing more on the game design instead. It is seriously flawed. Save your money. Expand

Not to mention 90% of the time, robbers, thieves and drug dealers are always black. The clear racist ‘undertones’(more like overtones) of this game has caused me huge disappointment and discomfort. This is an awful game and its a damn shame some of these reviews aren't mentioning the very clear racist overtones present from the start of the **** game. My hopes were high for this game, and i was let down in an unimaginable fashion. If you're thinking about playing this game just replay Papers Please instead. Expand
