Blanc provides a short but charming co-op adventure experience as you (and hopefully a friend) help a wolf and a deer find their families and assist other animals along the way. The black and white, hand-drawn style enhances the touching story of this unlikely pair coming together to help one another.

Blanc immerses us in a beautiful and exciting journey through a black and white hand-drawn world. This interactive narrative, without life or mana bars, without battles or complex mechanics, whose adversity is based on the circumstances dictated by a natural disaster and paths that always seem to have no exit, proves to be relaxing and fresh. Each puzzle solved is an achievement that opens the way for the little Wolf and the young Deer, deepening the unlikely relationship between these two and finally shortening the distance until the potential reunion with their respective families.

Blanc is a prime example of innovation leading to a memorable gaming experience, and shows that even when a game’s mechanics aren’t perfect, the story can still stick in your heart and make an impact.

Instead of running out of steam over time, Blanc has therefore chosen a brief adventure that can be consumed in one evening, which may disappoint some. In the end, it's a blessing in disguise that allows Blanc to be connected with what he is: a small and pretty fable that we will not soon forget.

Blanc is a charming and extremely short adventure game that features challenging puzzles and a beautiful, minimalist art style that should occupy you and a friend for an hour or two.

Blanc is a unique, engaging experience with a few flaws in its approach to puzzles and controls. Still, the overall presentation and storybook feel should reward players looking for a relaxing co-op with a like-minded partner.

Blanc is a very cute game with a message about love and accepting each other's differences. Being an ideal title to play with a friend, it is not at all complex, which allows any type of player to enjoy it. Precisely this lack of complexity, together with a short length, can be a negative point for many players. However, it is still a good cooperative experience that is worth trying.

Blanc is the combination of a bedtime story's narrative and graphic novel's art style but its magic is often disrupted by technical issues and frustrating puzzles.

Blanc is a pleasant, easy-going co-op experience that will provide a couple of hours' worth of enjoyment along with a few frustrations. The camera can be a bit messy at times due to the two-player setup, and the game could definitely do with a hint system in some areas, as we imagine children in particular would struggle with the overall lack of direction. That said, it's a lovely-looking game and an entirely inoffensive experience that anyone can pick up and enjoy with little fuss. If you're looking for a new, emotionally driven co-op game, then Blanc is an easy recommendation.

Blanc has some great ideas and an amazing art direction, but its gameplay lacks depth and the level design is not so brilliant.

Blanc is an indie adventure whose goal is not to amuse the player but to entertain based on cooperative gameplay that could be more purposeful but with a tremendous artistic section. Its moving story extols the cooperation between beings with little alike, making you laugh, cry and even scream at specific points, but it doesn't surpass other games with similar ideals.

Blanc is a game with heart, and it'll definitely bring you and a player two together. I can't recommend it over some other recent co-op outings, but it's still an experience worth having if you can ignore a couple of issues.

Blanc is not one best co-op games on the market, but it's a pleasant adventure which skillfully mixes the story, gameplay and cooperative mechanics. Despite readability and very simple puzzles that repeat themselves, this first game from Casus Ludi is a nice catch to spend a relaxing evening.

While Blanc is a cute cooperative puzzle that may satisfy players for the short runtime, it does not bring anything original to the table. Despite its obvious charms, it winds up feeling rather paint-by-numbers — but every color is white.

Like a red wine stain on a stark white dress, Blanc spoils its pristine visual style with a combination of frustrating controls, stubborn camera angles, and restrictive puzzle solutions. I love walking through the beautiful wilderness as the adorable animals, but when I try and think of good gameplay, I’m drawing a blank.

Simply put, I absolutely love Blanc's aesthetics and gentle soundtrack but everything else about it is tedious and occasionally irritating.

The art style is charming at the start until your eyes are hurting from staring at a white screen for 2 hours. Hard to tell what was going on with the poorly optimized camera and blurry visuals. Story felt underdeveloped with no real stakes. Some parts were charming but not enough to leave a good taste in my mouth. Worth the journey with a friend on a strong sale. Full Review »

The plot with the two characters can please and the common approach is well done. Furthermore, a simple but pretty presentation is added. The sound can also convince well and sounds good. The two characters also have their own personal charm. However, the technology is not always good and also the camera work is just too annoying. Therefore, a good game "Blanc" for the Nintendo Switch and PC, but the weaknesses can unfortunately not be overlooked. Full Review »

The visual style is some of the best in any game I've ever played, the music is amazing, and the story is incredibly emotional and heartwarming! I almost cried at points, it's genuinely really cool.
Granted, the puzzles in this game aren't incredible. They're fine and fun enough for two people, but something like It Takes Two takes it's co-op concepts a little further. And I think the reason why is because of the main issue I have with this game. It's incredibly short. It released today and I'm already 100%ed it after about 3 hours. Now, granted the experience with playing with a friend of mine over discord was super fun and nice, and I think the replayability of that aspect will definitely help the game going forward, but I definitely wanted more out of this game.
But despite it's fault, this is probably the definition of a comfort game. It's cute, it's gorgeous, it's fun, and it's short enough to breeze through with a buddy in one sitting. I, ironically, just feel super warm when playing this game.
