Bouncy Bob is a simple indie game made by three passion driven yet experienced creators who wanted to make something different than the typical arcade game.

Become a funny gnome named Bouncy Bob and defeat an army of the undead in single player mode. When you master the unique one button controls invite friends to kick some butt in local multiplayer mode.

One of a kind game world is a combination of cartoon horror, German expressionism, light humor and doodle style. But it will not be a walk in the park! Lurking around are sharp spikes, grenades, and flying blades. Oh, and did I mention the bloodthirsty zombies?

Bouncy Bob is simplistic entertainment which doesn't really set the Switch alight. There's not really enough here to keep you coming back for more.

Bouncy Bob attempts to demonstrate how a simple idea of a one-button control mechanic can be fun and accessible. But it's met with shortfalls aplenty. Rather than being an attractive and accessible gimmick, it’s a painfully restraining annoyance and, although quashing a row of enemies can be satisfying, being given the one method to play quickly becomes a chore. Granted, the eShop isn’t awash with one-button titles - and Bouncy Bob stands out for this reason – but this title may be an example as to why this is the case.

I can’t think of a single redeeming feature about this game. It’s about as entertaining as a night out in Milton Keynes. Poor controls, lazy graphics, very little gameplay and everything is just a long, drawn out frustration.

In Bouncy Bob, there are 2 main modes, 3 if you include tutorial. In the single player mode, you control an odd little creature called bob. You must bounce bob all around a semi small map to bounce on top of zombies to gain points. If you bounce on the amount of zombies the level requires, you move on to the next stage. That's really it, there are some power ups that shake the gameplay up a bit, but bland overall. The controls are decent, you press a button to jump and a button to hover up to reach tall places. It's really simple. The last mode included in the game is a multiplayer option. Originally I thought this was going to be a competition against other players to bounce on the most zombies, but I was wrong. It's actually a death match that can go up to 4 players. In this deathmatch, all you have to do is to bounce on each others heads multiple times until your opponent is dead. And that's all the modes, not a whole lot of variety here.

Performance: Bouncy Bob looks pretty decent while docked and when in handheld mode. As for the bugs and glitches, I haven't actually encountered any. It's a pretty small game so i didn't expect much issues. Loading times are pretty short, that's always nice. And that's it for the performing part of the review, I dont have much to add on.

ETC: I don't really have much more to say about this game, it's really short and you can see all it has to offer in about less than hour. The game does support HD rumble so you do have that option. But that's really it.

Overall: Overall, Bouncy Bob is mediocre game at best that doesn't offer a whole lot. I mean, don't see any hidden potential this game could have had. I didn't hate the game or strongly dislike it, but I didn't really find it fun either. It's not broken, but it's rather bland and a bit boring overall. However, the price for this game is $4, so you really can't complain about the lack of content. I give Bouncy Bob for the Switch, a 4 out of 10. The game is not generally bad, but just a boring experience overall.

This game is utter trash. Enough said. I basically got this game for free using one Nintendo Gold Point and I still somehow feel like I wasted money.

I figured that any game that costs $0.14 would be worth it. I mean it's basically free. I was wrong.
