Cat Quest II is a great improvement over the original. The game offers a teensy bit more variety and a bigger world, so it starts trucking almost instantly. I do wish that your AI co-op buddy was a bit more competent, but that’s a minor gripe. All in all, though, the time flew by and the smile stayed on my face through almost the entire playthrough. This action RPG promises a wonderful treat if you're looking for a pretty dense game.

Cat Quest II is a charming little action RPG. Its simple mechanics result in a game which is hugely enjoyable for literally anybody to pick up and play, all backed up by some fantastic design work and infectious humour which never fails to bring a smile to your face. Diehard RPG fanatics might find it's a little on the easy side, but that doesn't take away from the fact that it's genuinely good fun to play.

Cat Quest II offers a huge open world full of humor and references. It is purrfect to play cooperatively with action battles full of items, dungeons and magic.

The world of Cat Quest 2 is sizable, but there isn’t much complexity in its minute-to-minute gameplay. However that directness, along with how quickly you level up, finish quests, and discover new locations, can make it a hard game to put down. You handle one task at a time, so it’s easy to pick back up or add a second player. At 8 to 10 hours or so, depending on your focus and patience, this adventure ends abruptly but doesn’t overstay its welcome. It’s challenging enough for solo players, but also fun for two players of any age and skill level.

Nothing about this game is particularly bad or warrants criticism, but at this point the lack of ambition or innovation makes play sessions feel more tedious than anything else.

The price of SEK 156 is very good considering how much fun you get for the money. The game crashed a few times but it still does not reduce the score.

Recommended for RPG-gaming families or friends preferably in co-op. It is great to play alone, but together it really becomes much more fun.

Really fun, great for kids and just RPG fans in general. It’s challenging enough to be fun but not oppressively so definitely worth the $15

A big step down from Cat Quest 1.

The biggest problem is the fact you're forced to play with someone or endure extremely unintelligent AI controlling your second character. If I'm playing this single player, like I did the first game, I want to control ONE character, not switch between two. I feel like I'm being punished for playing solo.

Also, the equipment screens are terrible and unintuitive. It feels so painful just to equip a piece of gear.

Finally, it's almost exactly the same as the first game. I was really hoping for more new spells, more new mechanics, more new ANYthing. Rather disappointed.
