Dec 16, 2020Catherine Full Body is an excellent game, regardless of your platform. The story is excellent and takes different directions and places according to the player's decisions. The puzzle is initially simple, but it becomes challenging and addictive as you progress through the game. This is not only a classic of Atlus, but also one of their best titles and it certainly deserves more prominence.

Jul 3, 2020Catherine: Full Body on Switch offers the same great experience as the previous versions, with the added option to take it on the go. The narrative loses none of its thrill or tone, which is excellent for anyone who has been holding out this long to play. There’s something truly timeless about Catherine, and this Switch port only compliments that statement.
-
Jul 8, 2020I think Catherine: Full Body is an overall improvement to the original game, and worth checking out if you’re like me and haven’t revisited the game in nearly a decade. The Switch version being reviewed here ran really well, with a solid framerate in both docked and undocked modes, and minimal load times throughout. There might not be enough in this package to elevate it past the prior releases of Catherine: Full Body, but again, if you have yet to play this version of the game then the Switch version appears to be on par with the rest.
-
Jul 3, 2020Catherine: Full Body is an outstanding title that has a very attractive plot and talks about everyday personal issues. All this with an extraordinary soundtrack and a striking artistic style. We should also highlight the fun that its multiplayer mode offers.
-
Jul 3, 2020Catherine is a fantastic and incredibly surprising game, and now its most complete version yet lands on Switch. There isn’t many new features to mention if you’ve already played Full Body on PS4, but if you haven’t, this is a great adaptation to Nintendo’s hardware.
-
Jul 3, 2020Catherine: Full Body on Nintendo Switch is an excellent game filled with tons of variety in the puzzles, and a story that keeps you gripped until the end.
-
Jul 3, 2020Not only do they add to an already great experience, but they made the game feel fresh. Rin’s introduction to the storyline added a whole new dimension to the already twisted love triangle, while Remix mode did the same for the puzzles. It is a little disappointing, however, that Catherine: Full Body didn’t quite solve the issues its takes on transgender people created in the original. That said, if you haven’t played Catherine before, now’s a great chance to jump on the train. If you have, Catherine: Full Body is certainly worthy of the encore.
-
Jul 3, 2020Catherine: Full Body features an excellent single-player campaign, even though its excessive fan service and violence might be too much for some. The Switch version of Catherine: Full Body retains all of this great content while improving upon the other modes in the game, in order to give it even longer-lasting appeal. The new content on offer in Catherine: Full Body isn't enough to warrant another purchase to those who own it on PlayStation 4, but it's a must-have title for those who haven't experienced the original version of the game. Atlus has finally been leaving its comfort zone with multi-platform releases of older titles and it's great that the Catherine: Full Body port is so well polished.
-
Jul 3, 2020Catherine: Full Body is a fantastic revamp of a bonafide cult classic. With an excellent new character and several new endings slickly inserted into an already highly entertaining narrative – not to mention a slew of fun new modes – this is the definitive version of an outstanding game. If you've never played Catherine before then you're in for an absolute treat, and if you have, we'd say there's enough new content here to make it worth diving in all over again.

Nintendo Force MagazineApr 28, 2021I was left cold by the "adult content," but was totally enthralled with its brainy gameplay! [Issue #49 – November/December 2020, p. 66]
-
Jul 3, 2020A charming, lovely game yet brutally designed to entertain through his towers. Catherine Full Body is now a must to bring with you everywhere.
-
Jul 3, 2020Catherine Full Body on Switch is the very same game that we saw in 2019, with a little less graphical detail (appreciable especially when playing on TV) and slightly longer loading times. The rest is as enjoyable as on PS4, especially if you love weird puzzle games, and haven't joined this love triangle before...
-
Jul 3, 2020Catherine: Full Body is a perfect match for Nintendo Switch: like Vincent and his C/K/Qatherine girls.
-
Jul 3, 2020Catherine: Full Body is a quite perfect match on the Nintendo Switch and it's still an entertaining and original adventure-puzzle experience.
-
Sep 12, 2020Despite all the advantages, puzzles with cubes, even at a minimum difficulty settings may not appeal to everyone, and the story still lacks scope and important details in places. Anyway Catherine: Full Body for Nintendo Switch is a great port of an unusual game, which is especially nice to spend time in portable mode. Charismatic characters, hot situations, interesting arguments about adult life, a powerful atmosphere and all sorts of allegories should appeal to fans of story adventures.
-
Jul 30, 2020Catherine Full Body throws you into the most puzzling affair you could ever imagine. This action-adventure puzzle games about the ups and downs of relationships captivate from start to finish thanks to its creative story and it's difficult yet fun puzzles. The only downside is that the camera and the controls are a bit slippery in this Switch version.
-
Jul 14, 2020Catherine: Full Body for Nintendo Switch is a good port that sacrifices just what is fair to offer the best possible experience. If you want to play with Vincent anywhere, this version will not disappoint you.
-
Jul 6, 2020The original Catherine: Full Body experience arrives on Nintendo Switch with all of its extras and it's still entertaining.
-
Jul 3, 2020The inclusion of all the DLCs, the presence of extra dubbing options and, last but not least, the possibility of using them in a handheld mode, away from prying eyes, make it an essential opportunity.
-
Jul 3, 2020Although a good part of the adventure is identical, Catherine Full Body is a real re-reading of the original game, whose contributions may displease hardcore fans, but which is a very good opportunity to immerse yourself in an atypical experience and themes too rarely addressed in our medium.
-
Jul 3, 2020While some more important platform-specific content would have been ideal, the Catherine: Full Body Switch version is one of the few ports that can stand right with its peers on other systems. The modesty of the original benefits this rendition in a handful of ways since the anime-inspired art style looks fantastic on the smaller console and its humble systems don’t push the Switch past its technical breaking point. Imperfect controls don’t hamper the rewarding puzzles and the story, while still engrossing, is only inhibited by its sometimes dubious and dated depictions of certain groups of people. And because of those reasons, Catherine: Full Body is one of those rare full-bodied ports that’s just as enjoyable when poured into a to-go cup.
-
Jul 3, 2020Catherine: Full Body is as much of a joy to play as it ever has been. If you’re wanting to play on a big TV, the PS4 version of the game is the clear way to go, but getting absorbed in the game’s excellent narrative or sinking your teeth into a puzzle is hugely rewarding in handheld mode. You’re not going to regret picking it up on Switch, put it that way.
-
Jul 3, 2020I really liked playing Catherine: Full Body. I got invested in the story, the music is great, I found the characters entertaining despite their flaws, and the puzzle gameplay was a lot of fun. It takes baby steps forward on tackling LGBT issues, and while ATLUS is far from perfect at this aspect I guess it’s a good thing that they’re trying to get better. The Switch is a perfect system for his game, and this port is the definitive version of a great re-release. I hope this troubled tale of love coming to Switch is a sign that ATLUS will be putting a greater focus on developing for the system, and this is a great first start.
-
Jul 13, 2020With over 500 levels at your fingertips, Catherine: Full Body has a wealth of content that will keep veterans and newcomers entertained for hours on end. Although themes and representation are questionable, the gameplay and narrative are undoubtedly fun, making Catherine: Full Body more than a one night stand.
-
Sep 15, 2020Catherine: Full Body is about the prices people are willing to pay, in more ways than one. In terms of story, we have to see what sorts of sacrifices Vincent is willing to make to accommodate his comfort, bridge gaps with people around him, and survive. With the port, we’re seeing what had to be done to get it working. If that means a little bit of blurriness and feeling like you might be due for a new prescription, especially in handheld mode, so be it.
-
Aug 3, 2020As a puzzle game, Catherine: Full Body is nothing short of excellent, providing a challenging, stimulating experience that is sure to get the synapses firing. As a story, it falls short, offering a dated, tired, and often gross outlook on the world, that fails to invest in the growth of its characters. For many, the former will easily outweigh the latter, but for some, its poor characterisation of women and minorities will be a step too far to really enjoy.
-
Jul 13, 2020Catherine: Full Body is a fun and unique puzzle game with a story that is fine if you don’t interrogate it too closely.
-
Jul 3, 2020Catherine remains a skilled caricature of a hysterical, impossible man’s moral frailty and romantic insecurity. Characters and complications introduced by Full Body, however, lack the connective tissue and social maturity to support its expanded ambition. A tower-climbing puzzle game fused with a supernatural infidelity meditation, even in its spiraling convolution, still survives as a provocative oddity.
-
Jul 20, 2020All in all, despite not being a game that is often affiliated with the family-friendly Switch, Catherine: Full Body is a well-developed port to Nintendo's hybrid system.
-
Jul 3, 2020What can I say but “yikes”...Over the past decade I have largely avoided revisiting Catherine because I knew that it likely had not aged well, and I didn’t really want to spoil the good memories I had of playing the game. My tastes have changed a lot over the years, and while I’ve gained a new appreciation for the incredible puzzle-solving gameplay, I’ve been utterly astounded at just how poorly the story has aged. It’s unfortunate, since the voice acting, visuals, and overall cinematic direction of both cutscenes and gameplay are all excellent. This game is the product of a passionate and talented team. It’s just a shame that their efforts were all in service to writing that is cynical, regressive, outdated, and just plain exhausting.
