Overall, Detective Gallo is a great point and click game with little to dislike. It brings a solid story, some very likable and dislikable characters, and it does the point and click genre justice. The difficulty might be a bit too much for some, but the payoff is worth it.
Detective Gallo is a graphic adventure that clearly show off its sources of inspiration, such as the LucasArts titles. The studio is small, the production limits quite obvious, but it's still and enjoyable game.

This is a niche adventure fan of the genre will appreciate.
Detective Gallo is a charming and beautifully drawn comic point and click, but it's the controls which stop it from scoring higher. It relies too heavily on dragging a cursor back and forth, and there's a fair bit of in-game backtracking too.
While it doesn’t entirely succeed in carrying the spirit of the games that inspired it, the love and care that the team making the game has poured into it alone makes it worth checking out. There are some really quirky environments to explore along with a fun, lighthearted, and silly plot to experience. In this drought of point and click adventures, if you’ve been craving to get your hands on more puzzle-solving action, Detective Gallo’s office is open and ready for business.
Detective Gallo brings a point and click adventure to the Nintendo Switch, an unusual contribution to the system's catalogue and one which features a welcome work of voice acting and some interesting character interactions and plot. The game doesn't fully stand out, as its control system is rather problematic on the Nintendo Switch and several of its puzzles don't really make much sense. Detective Gallo is thus not a first choice option.
I began Detective Gallo feeling quite peckish for some good point-and-click action. Unfortunately, though, the game has me migrating elsewhere, as Detective Gallo’s cockiness as a character was very grating, and I found myself beginning to moult as a result.
Summary Detective Gallo is a point&click comic-noir adventure that is entirely hand-illustrated and hand-animated, and whose protagonist is a feathered and grumpy private eye struggling with a very tricky case, bizarre characters, and puzzles that will put his insight and patience to the test.
