Sir Arthur has gotten old... too old. He has lost everything he had and loved, and with nothing more to lose he leaves for Samarnath, an evil subterranean kingdom (which no knight has ever returned alive) in search of treasures, adventures and the most important: five magical orbs that together provide: the Eternal youth. Thanks to its progressive difficulty curve, and with a path divided into “worlds” of 5 levels each one, Eternum Ex is challenging, addictive and an ode to the nostalgia of the golden age of arcade games. Eternum Ex is an arcade game that brings us back to that classicism that we sometimes look for in video games. Despite its lack of multiplayer, it has a great pixel art and a good difficulty. Very replayable.

A tribute to the classic arcade of the 80s, but with a twist that we like a lot. The games in Switch or PC are a challenge, where the design of levels is delicious. It is difficult not to play again and again a level until you get over it. A title for classic hearts, but also for young people wanting to have fun.

Eternum EX is like a trip back in time, a game with plenty of fun that, nevertheless, may end up being kind of repetitive. Still, it is a good opportunity to enjoy once more the challenges of the traditional arcade.

If you really long for those days of playing Street Fighter II and Metal Slug while you wait for your Book It group’s pizza to come out, you might want to give Eternum EX a look. I feel like it needs a two-player mode to keep things fresh because otherwise it runs out of steam pretty quickly.

Eternum EX is a solid arcade experience, but is unlikely to hold the attention for long. £12.99 seems steep for a game like this in this day and age.
