At a base level, what is present in Exorder is good. However, some frustrations take away from what could be an otherwise pretty good or even great game. SRPGs should be about planning out your next move and not figuring out how to fix your unit going to the wrong place because of the twitchy “snap” movement as you pressed A. If you are a fan of SRPGs and you have some patience to work around these shortcomings, then this might be a good pick-up for you, otherwise you may want to find one of the better titles on the eShop.

Exorder is a very pretty little game which feels like a puzzle game masquerading as a turn-based strategy title. Controls are simple to a fault, and moving around the map left me frustrated every single battle. While the game has a great style, the bright colors and fun designs are made just a little more dull by the bland voice acting you’ll be listening to before and after each battle.

Exorder is a good turn-based strategy game that is not for the beginning militarist. The game has robust multiplayer support and welcome touchscreen support but its unrelenting A.I. might be more frustration than desired.

Not only is Exorder's campaign and storytelling uninspired, and even annoying at times, but, in its attempt to be an extremely simple TBS that can be enjoyed by everyone, it just ends up being bland and forgettable.

Exorder had the potential to be great, but its technical difficulties, abysmal voice acting and frustrating gameplay make for a disappointing experience. While the core campaign requires plenty of skill and a solid strategy to beat, giving the game plenty of replayability, the unforgiving AI and overall poor design mean that you are more inclined to put the game down than try again. If you like fantasy and strategy titles, Exorder is worth a try, but only if you have copious amounts of patience.

Alright, so Exorder seems like a cool game. And it definitely could be really fun, personally I cant figure out how to enjoy this game. WhichAlright, so Exorder seems like a cool game. And it definitely could be really fun, personally I cant figure out how to enjoy this game. Which sucks because I really want to like it. Maybe if they do update or a follow up they can really nail what I expected this one to be Expand
