Aug 22, 2019Without saying a word, FAR: Lone Sails conveys a poignant tale of hope and perseverance, masterfully balancing style with substance for an experience that feels every bit as sublime as it looks. Sure, you could grumble about the shortness of the experience, the occasionally obtuse puzzles and the very, very minor control issues, but these problems dissolve away once you're invested in the journey. We highly recommend that you give this a spin.

Aug 16, 2019Far: Lone Sails is a gorgeous little game with an incredible soundtrack and a journey packed full of both stressful and serene moments alike.

Aug 19, 2019FAR: Lone Sails is one of those special games that does so much with the small amount of time it asks for. Completing it in one or two sittings feels entirely achievable, and has just enough depth to its gameplay to feel engaging without being bothersome. The experience it delivers is a wholesome jaunt through the end of the world that put a smile on my face and warmth in my heart.

Sep 4, 2019Inspired by games like Journey or Limbo, Lone Sails draws you in on Switch with charming music and an expressive art design. An emotional trip through an apocalypse void of humans.

Dec 16, 2019FAR: Lone Sails is fine for what it is, and I liked my time with it — but throughout it all, I couldn’t help but feel like it could’ve been even better than it was.

Sep 3, 2019Far: Lone Sails is a lonesome experience, but it’s also kind of a meditative one. It’s a bit like washing dishes without listening to something or talking to someone while you do it. You can find yourself getting lost in the monotony of the task, which lets your mind zone out. This might sound like a bad thing, but for me, it created a sort of focused-yet-relaxed state. By the end, even with all of the work, I didn’t feel stressed. Instead, that effort was a great way to unwind.
