Fast RMX is a blistering fast racer with a very balanced set of vehicles and a nice selection of tracks. It's perfect for some single player score chasing or some multiplayer competition, and it looks great while doing it - though it could've used a few more options here and there. That doesn't really hinder what we've been offered however, and Fast RMX is a racing game I'm happy to recommend to absolutely anyone who might be looking for one. It's just that good.

In short FAST RMX is as good as the Wii U original and then some. Updated visuals, more tracks, more vehicles, it's an utterly outstanding launch title for the Switch. With the console's ability to allow multiplayer on the go rolled in, this is without doubt essential for racing fans with the new console.

    A well-built racer that certainly stands up to the legendary pedigree of the F-Zero series. [Issue #27 – May/June 2017, p. 21]

FAST RMX is a solid arcade racer, with a gratifying sense of speed, excellent visuals, and an interesting phase mechanic ensuring you have plenty of fun. It's not quite a flawless experience though. Outside of Hero mode, it's all a bit basic, with no tricks to perform in the air, and tracks lacking the intricate design of Mario Kart or Wipeout.

Good tracks and great racing combine in this well-positioned futuristic racer. It’s nothing groundbreaking, and is very similar to its predecessor, but it has enough new content and multiplayer fun to keep me coming back for hours.

FAST RMX is a solid experience, one of the most recommended games in the eShop so far. Better than the original but with the same mistakes and flaws as the original, this game is good but not good enough to overcome an F-Zero title.

Fast RMX is one of the best Switch titles out right now. Given how Shin’en is supporting the game with free updates, with the first adding time trials, it’s a great time to pick it up and play this $20 game.

The arcade elements adds a lot of funIncredibly good anti-gravity racing game like Wipeout and also one of the fastest I have ever played. The arcade elements adds a lot of fun also. The graphics are outstanding and makes this game to the best looking game for the Switch today. The optical distortion when you go into turbo speed is breathtaking. This will increase the feel of speed (which is already high) even more faster. For me it hits the absolutely cutting edge of speed which is still barely playable. And this is absolute fantastic, you need to play it to get what I mean. Truly a technical master piece and one of my favorite racing games through all platforms. Expand

A solid enhanced port of Fast Racing Neo, with enhanced visuals and new content. If you liked Fast Racing Neo you won't regret buying this. IfA solid enhanced port of Fast Racing Neo, with enhanced visuals and new content. If you liked Fast Racing Neo you won't regret buying this. If you're an F-Zero fan then this is definitely the game for you. Since this is a fairly simple game, I'll give a fairly simple breakdown.

    The good:
    - Enhanced visuals, running at 1080p at 60fps when docked.
    - New tracks and music. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking.
    - Controls are very tight, very responsive, better than Fast Racing Neo on the Wii U.
    - HD Rumble is subtle but the feedback makes a difference.
    - Online matchmaking is much faster.
    - A feature added to hero mode makes it feel even more like F-Zero: navigating over the colored phase strips refills you energy.
    - A steal at $20. If you liked Fast Racing Neo you won't regret buying this.
    - It's really the closest thing to F-Zero out there.
    - Holy crap it's fast.

    The bad:
    - Many tracks feel unimaginative and repetitive in design.
    - Lacking in features (no time trials, etc.). Shin'en plans to roll out updates.
    - Vehicle customization would have been nice, even if it was just cosmetic.
    - Online is bare bones. No leaderboards, can't invite friends, not matched with similarly skilled players.

    The ugly:
    - Lag and server issues result in buggy online play, with players seeming to teleport, and the game announcing you finished in one place and then the rankings screen saying you finished in another. This needs to be patched badly.

Despite online issues, online multiplayer is still fun for a casual race. I strongly recommend this game to any fans of F-Zero, Wipeout, Hydro Thunder, or similar fast, technical, arcade style racers. Don't expect a Mario Kart style experience, there is little to no AI rubberbanding. Don't expect a racing simulator, it's absurdly fast and over the top. It might give you heart palpitations.

Bro I wasted my money. It reminds me of M&Ms kart racer in that I should've just bought Mario Kart
