Frederic - Evil Strikes Back - The Bigger, Better, More Awesome sequel. Great new tracks. Great new locations. Great new features. Great new story.

Defeat famous opponents in musical duels. Immense yourself in fantastic story of Frederic's endeavors. Catch all the Easter Eggs and subtle parodies hidden in the background. Practice your skills until perfection and become the Master of the Piano.

The world of music is once again threatened. The art of soulful music, the kind that touches your heart, is in grave danger of disappearance. The evil forces that you fought so bravely are back! And they are even more powerful and desperate. Once again you'll need to step into Frederic Chopin's shoes and face opponents that have only one agenda - to enslave the musical world, mass produce soulless artists with their same-sounding radio hits, and reap enormous profits, hindering any creativity in the process.

10 challenging musical duels with some of the most renown pop stars
10 fantastic, catchy tracks, inspired by Frederic Chopin's composition and different music genres.
Quirky story with tons of parody and twists
Extremely easy to get to, but hard to master gameplay
    Hand-painted animated comic

Frederic: Evil Strikes Back is a pretty 'by the numbers' sequel, and despite the (still quite low) track list being superior to the first, the characters, dialogue and presentation niggles still remain. There's plenty of personality to the tracks, and seeing Chopin go up against stadium rockers is strange yet amusing, but the satire and parodies from the first game miss the mark more often than not this time round. The visuals are still bold, and you'll have an enjoyable experience if you can overcome its shortcomings. While Deemo and even VOEZ are still the best of the genre on Nintendo Switch, Frederick: Evil Strikes Back's mix of interesting reinterpretations of classical compositions and sometimes charming art style are still worth a go.

Frederic 2 offers more of the same from the first game. It's nice to have them both on Switch, and at an affordable rate given the sale price. They're both short games, though, so a bundle would be welcome.

This game is as perfect as it can get on the Switch.

Only fault is docked controls are still a headache.

    Perfect for portable gaming.

I was just looking for a good game like Voez or Deemo, but cheaper, and I ended up very frustrated.

    STORY:
The story has some good and funny moments, but is very short. In 14 minutes of gameplay, I completed 30% of the game witch is equivalent to 3 stages/musics of the game (there are 10). So, it means that you can complete the game in less than a hour.

    PRICE:
This was the reason why I bought this game to test. I paid less than $2 in an Eshop sale. This was a really fair price, considering that the game is very short.

    SONGS:
In the entire game, there was one or two musics that I found interesting. Some of then are just too long and boring.

    ANIMATIONS:
Animations in this game are super clunky. The characters keeps doing the same movements in the entire music..

    DIFFICULTY LEVELS:
This was something that I found unforgiven. It doesn't matter if you play on Easy or Expert. The difficulty of the song is ALWAYS the same. What changes is the quantity of notes that you can miss to pass the level and this makes the game very frustrating.

    CONTROLS:
You can play on the controller or in the touch screen, witch is the best option. The button schemes on the controller is very confuse.

    VERDICT:
It's a game that is worth to give it a try just in a really good sale. The musics are not good at all and difficulty levels system are a shame. Because of that, the replay factor of this game is 0.
