Nov 30, 2020Gibbous – A Cthulhu Adventure injects a dry sense of humour into classic Lovecraftian horror and absorbs you into the mystery through a beautifully animated point-and-click story.

Feb 25, 2021Of course, the game doesn’t look so incredible that it’s able to overcome being your standard adventure game fare — perhaps because, looks side, Gibbous is your standard adventure game fare. That’s great news if you’re a genre fan looking for another hit, but if you’re not already a fan, nothing here is likely to make you one.

Oct 28, 2020The domination of point-and-click adventures has long passed, but the genre is far from dead as games like Gibbous show. It's not an instant classic, and it might not be the game to win skeptics of the genre over, but fans of both adventure games and Lovecraft will enjoy Gibbous, which is one of the better releases in either genre in recent years. However, for a genre that is named after an action exclusive to a computer mouse, playing on Switch is definitely the second-best option. For those who prefer to game on consoles over computers, however, Gibbous is certainly playable on the hybrid console.
